Betty Cooper was not her usual perky self as she drove along the suburban streets of Riverdale. Once again her Archiekins, the love of her life, broke their date. Now in a different universe, Betty wouldn't have minded a bit. Things often come up and she was a very understanding individual. However, tonight was the last straw. Betty was burning with rage. Her relationship with Archie Andrews was constantly being interrupted by ........ HER.
Veronica Lodge.
How Betty loathed the very sight of the sophisticated brunette! She managed to keep her feelings under wraps, as the two were supposedly inseparable "best friends", but Betty Cooper was one outstanding actress. Not one person in Riverdale knew about her deep seeded hatred for Veronica. They all knew her as "Betty Cooper, the girl next door." The blonde just put on a happy face and breezed through life, pretending to ignore the fact that her boyfriend was dating her "best friend". Ha. "They'll regret their torrid little affair after tonight," Betty thought sadistically, chuckling to herself.
Finally Betty reached her destination. Lookout Point. Off in the distance she noticed a familiar old jalopy rocking back and forth. After reaching into her trunk and grabbing a last minute item, Betty made her way over, her lips curling into an evil smirk. Looking into the fogged up windows of the vehicle, she could just barely make out the silhouettes (*silhouette*, actually) of the two banes of her existence. Slowly she reached for the door handle..........

"Archiekins did you hear something?" Veronica asked her lover breathlessly.
"You mean other than your screams of ecstasy?" Archie countered amorously.
"No, it sounded like it came from outside," Veronica replied, fear creeping into her voice.
Archie sighed. The mood was now broken. "Alright, I'll go investigate," he said reluctantly, pulling on his loud plaid trousers. He started to open the door.......
However, he hadn't even touched the handle when the door swung open by an unknown force. Veronica shrieked. All of the color drained from Archie's freckled face. For standing in front of them, illuminated by the moonlight, was Betty Cooper.
"Betty! I can explain!" Archie stammered. "Y-you see, it turned out my aunt really wasn't sick at all, and I ran into Ronnie, and she-" he trailed off as he caught sight of the heavy tire iron that Betty held over her head.
"Betty dear, what ARE you doing?" Veronica asked in her usual snobbish tone. "Can't you see that this is no time for your mechanical skills? Archekins and I are in the middle of-----"
CLANG! The sophisticate's words were cut off as her "best friend" smashed the tire iron over her head. Archie could only watch in horror as the once wholesome blonde beat his lover into a bloody pulp. Soon, the beauty that was once known as Veronica Lodge was unrecognizable, as her face was swollen to twice its size, bruised, and caked with blood. Veronica's pearly white teeth now littered the floor of the jalopy and her blood stained every surface. Once Betty was satisfied with the state of the now lifeless brunette, she paused to catch her breath.
"Betty - why?" Archie asked despairingly. Betty didn't provide an answer. The sadistic grin on her face grew, distorting her All - American features. She turned to her now ex - boyfriend and raised the tire iron.
After finishing off the redhead, Betty climbed out of the car and laughed maniacally. She had finally gotten her revenge. If she couldn't have Archie, than nobody could!
Betty's evil grin broadened even more as she went back to her own car. "Now to finish off that Cheryl Blossom... "
