Alone on Slave I
Written by johntaco
A/N: My girlfriend, Hoshi Nagaiki, forced me to write this!
Boba Fett stared into the eyes of the frozen Han Solo. They did not move, not to blink or to glare, but yet they could not be considered lifeless. Despite their obvious sedentary state, vitality and energy filled Han Solo's eyes. Every last emotion of love, pride, fear resonated within them.
Boba almost felt jealous—was that the right word? He was a famous bounty hunter, but none of that seemed to matter as he travelled through the distant reaches of space. Aboard Slave I, Boba was alone. He was always alone.
Han would never be alone. Even here far across the universe, Han had someone. That girl had just confessed her love to him after learning he might die. Her heart stayed with him now in this empty place.
Suddenly, Boba's loneliness controlled him. He removed his prized helmet and crossed the distance between him and the statue-like Han. Briefly, he ran a hand across the cool carbonite face. Then, seconds later, Boba pressed his lips to those of the smuggler. For a moment, Boba thought he saw the man stir, but as he regained his composure, he realized that to be a petty hope.
Breaking away from his foolish whim, Boba returned to his control chair and set a course for Tatooine
A/N: Oh, also, it was inspired by "If I Needed Someone" by The Beatles. Review if you want to, I guess. . . .
