He's sat in the park with his mates and their girlfriends. He's fallen out with his so called 'friends' but the girls don't know this. It's the thirteenth of February, and he's single. It's like torture watching all his 'mates' snuggled up with their soulmates, but he's forbidding himself to cry, at least until he gets home or out of their view.
"So, Dave," his 'mate' Ed says, silently demanding his attention. "Who are you spending this Valentine's with? Oh, sorry, I forgot. No one." And Ed laughs, along with the rest of the 'friends'.
The girls can sense something's not right. They're not stupid. The boys shouldn't be singling out Dave so cruelly, their comments like whips on his back.
"He's gone through every girl here, no one's stupid enough to take him back." Rollo spits. Dave turns his head and wipes away the tear that materialises on his left cheek.
"Look at the baby crying! Oh boohoo. You're nothing but a slut, Dave. Worthless." Tom glares at him.
Sven remains silent (for once). He doesn't know what's going on.
"No one'll ever love you, Dave." Dec sends yet another insult towards him.
Dave breaks down in tears as more brutal insults are thrown towards him.
Little does he know there's still someone on his side.
Georgia stands up in the middle of the 'circle' of so-called 'friends'.
"I'll always love him." She announces, and winks her right eye once, the Ace Gang symbol for 'move'. All the girls get off the boys laps, disgusted. The boys, minus Dave, look smugly at each other.
"So, Ed, you're wrong. He'll spend it with me." She bends down and slaps Ed across the face.
"I'll take him back, Rollo." She winks at Jools, who moves away from him like he's got the bubonic plague. He's stood up by this point, and she shoves him so hard he falls over.
"Dave's not a slut and of course he's crying, considering the way you lot have treated him."
Tom stood up. "Bring it on then, Princess." He says, mocking her nastily. She punches him in the stomach and he falls over, moaning and groaning.
"And I love him, Dec." She says, kicking him.
Rollo grins at the boys (minus Dave, yet again).
"You're really sexy when you're being Little Miss Feisty, Gee." He leans forward, eyes closed and tries to kiss her. She rolls her eyes and steps back sharpish, raising her eyebrows at Jools, who raises hers back and knees him hard in the groin.
"I'm afraid I'm already taken, Rollo." She smirks.
"By a Handbag Horse," Dave mumbles.
"No." Georgia corrects him. "By you. I love you, Dave."
"And I love you too, Kitten."
