"Now boarding flight 8-69B. Please have you tickets ready at the gate!"

"Great," I thought. This was my first summer away from home, and away from my parents. I was going to spend my summer with my cousin Vinney. She just turned thirty-seven and in desperate need of company.

"Ma'am, your ticket please?"

"I looked up startled, my ticket sitting flimsy in my hand. The flight attendant stared at me, slightly annoyed.

"Sorry," I said sheepishly.

"Enjoy your flight," she snapped, snatching my ticket. I rolled my eyes.

I boarded the plane, excited for my first trip to Roho Island. I sat down, and immediately smoothed down my tan caprice and ocean blue tank top. The airplane finaly gained height, and I was off.

"Kaylie, over here Hun!" Vinney yelled, louder then necessary.

I instantly turned red, then quickly rushed over before she yelled any louder. Vinney wore a vintage tee, over khaki pants and flipflops.

"So, how was your flight?" She inquired, leading the way toward the baggage claim.

"Very nice," I said.

"Great!" she exclaimed. "How about we grab lunch and take it down to the beach, if you're not too tired, I mean."

"Sure, that'd be great,"

Vinney smiled. Shortly after grabbing my bag we arrived at Shores café. As soon as we walked though the door, the smell instantly hypnotized me. It wasn't too busy, and we walked over to the grab and go line.

"I always get the crab and tuna wrap, never fails," she admitted.

"Huh," I said.

We quickly ordered our food and headed to the beach. Vinney decided to tan once we got there.

"I'm going in now," I decided.

I padded through the sand, then cautiously got into the water, and started to swim out. I kept going out further and further. I then noticed I'd gone too far, and the waves were too much to handle.

The waves got stronger until I couldn't breathe anymore. I was starting to panic, and was out to far to try and yell for help. I was about to give up, when I saw him. He was swimming strong towards me. He had defined muscles, bright green eyes, and sandy blonde hair, up to his eyes.

As I started to sink, he grabbed me, and I closed my eyes, knowing I was safe.

"Kaylie, can you here me?"

I looked up, expecting to see the boy who rescued me. Instead it was Vinney. I finaly look around, opening my eyes.

"Kaylie are you alright?" Vinney pressed.

"I'm fine, where is he?" I said. "Where's the boy who saved me?"

Vinney smoothed my hair. "Over there," she said pointing towards a lifeguard chair. "You floated toward shore, and he jumped in and got you!" she exclaimed.

I looked over, and gasped. "Are you sure that him?" He had bright red hair, and glasses.

Vinney rolled her eyes, "Yes," she huffed. "I saw it with my own eyes.

I know the lifeguard wasn't the one who saved me, but who was?
