Hey guys...I've never seen Wild Kratts before or anything, but my friend used to be obsessed with it, and she wrote this story for it, and she's not allowed on fanfiction, and since she's a good writer, I asked if she wanted me to post it for her and she said yes...so I have no clue what this story is or anything, but I hope you'll enjoy it!
Chris sniffled and pulled his stuffed bunny, Cocoa, closer. Thunder boomed outside and occasional flashes of lightning lit up his dark room. Chris finally mustered the courage to tiptoe to his creaky, old window. As he stared out into the rainy night, he felt a strange calming peace, as if he could feel every stroke of electricity... until lightning snaked across the sky, the thunder following. BOOM!
Chris fell backwards, surprised, onto the hard wooden floor. Another bolt of lightning had Chris scrambling back into his safe, warm bed. Sighing with relief, he reached for Cocoa, then realized that his bunny was no longer in his arms. Chris started to climb down, gently from his bed, as if his softer steps could pause the storm while he groped in the dark for Cocoa.
It seemed to work for a while, but the sharp crack of thunder sent Chris straight back to his bed. Chris shivered and rubbed his arms. His bed didn't seem so warm and safe without Cocoa. The bunny never went anywhere without Chris, especially at night, when it was bed time. Well, at least that was how he saw it. Chris sniffed again, wishing Martin was here with him.
His older-by-only-three-years brother always made it seem like everything was gonna be fine, even if it wasn't. But he wasn't here. He was in summer camp which was quite far from Chris. He was supposed to be back this evening, but hadn't shown up yet. Just the thought of having to be separated from his brother-and during a thunderstorm, too-was enough to make several tears run down his face.
Chris lay in his bed in silence as the rain poured harder. It was so quiet and eerie without Martin's warmth the soft sound of his gentle breathing. Chris sat up quickly in bed. He heard the front door open quietly, then close.
Suddenly, the door to his room creaked open and the light switched on. Chris blinked rapidly at the sudden change in light, then grinned. It was Martin! A tired, groggy, and quite possibly cranky Martin, but it was still Martin. Chris jumped from his bed and ran into Martin's outstretched arms. Martin smiled, despite his weariness, and squeezed his little brother. Chris buried his face into Martin's warm jacket and murmured, "I missed you." Martin hugged him tighter, then picked him up and carried him to their bed. That night, Chris slept fine without Cocoa.
I'm not sure exactly what this is (I've never seen the show, like aforementioned) but it looks cute...so yeah. :D
