Can't wait to post this. I spent a long time perfecting this fic, so...
Remus crept up the stairs towards the boy dormitories. He had just returned from the library after making up his work. It had been three days since the full moon, and though Remus was still slightly sore, he couldn't stand to fall behind any farther.
But it was bothering him how quiet it was. Generally, when the light haired male arrived this late, his fellow Marauder's boisterous laughter, and usually lewd jokes filled the empty stairwell. Tonight, however, was different. It was so quiet, Remus almost believed they were still in Hogsmeade, but the prefect knew that even James and Sirius wouldn't stray out this late, no matter how bug of troublemakers they were.
For a reason unknown to the werewolf, he was suddenly so nervous he felt like tossing the chocolate he had just eaten.
When the door to the boy's dormitories creaked open to grant the golden eyed boy passage, it revealed his three stony faced roommates.
'They know.' Remus wasn't sure how, but he knew his secret was blown to his friends.
Sirius was the first to speak. "Well, Mooney, anything you want to share with us?"
The one addressed took a frantic step back, nearly taking a tumble down the unforgiving stone steps he had just climbed.
James and Sirius grabbed one arm each, hauling the flustered male back up into their shared sleeping quarters.
"I can understand if you don't want to be friends with me anymore, just say the word and I won't even talking to you anymore. Just please, please don't tell, it'll ruin me! This is my only chance at any kind of decent educ-" The boy's erratic ramblings was cut off my a warm, calloused hand gently covering his mouh.
"We won't tell." James stated.
"Because friends don't snitch out friends.' Sirius finished, removing his hand from the others mouth.
"R-really?" Remus' knees felt weak.
