Traps

He laughed as she took off down the street. She was so damn gullible. It almost surprised him that she'd fallen for the trick so many times.

"Must be a blond thing," he mused, turning on his heel, strolling through the trees. He would be ready for her when they next met.

As she ran through the streets, feet pounding on the pavement she couldn't help but berate herself. She'd fallen for his tricks again. How could she be so stupid? She knew he would target those closest to her. It was what he did, what they all did.
