Beginnings
"She's old enough to go hover out in space?" a mother violently screamed. She was being a little overprotective, which is very odd for a Saiyan. But this was her daughter. Women on Planet Vegeta were considerably outnumbered by the men.
"Yes. Of course, she is a bit young, so we'll send her to a faraway, weak planet, Mersik." The man was unfazed by the fierce woman. "It is nearby another weak planet, Earth. I believe your son, Kakarot, has been dispatched a while ago to that planet?"
"Yes, he was." Kakarot was her second child after Raditz. This was her third child, three years younger than Kakarot.
"Then they will return together. Follow me to the pod."
The mother let out another sigh. Her daughter was only two months old, and she was being sent on a mission. She was asleep in the older Saiyan's arms. The mother gingerly placed the child in the cushioned ship. As the door closed to the small, round pod, her daughter woke up. Immediately, the small baby began to cry. The sound muted as the door shut completely. The mother put her palm on the cool metal.
"Solara..."
Her mind seemed to be like a computer. But Solara knew she wasn't a computer, nor did she know what a computer was. All she knew was that she came out of a big metal ball and that she was a Saiyan.
Solara didn't remember the blood red planet she was born on. All she remembered was her mother and father, but the pictures in her mind were hazy and fading.
And when she met the dusty orange aliens that lived on the rock she landed on, she didn't know what to do. She remembered her mission to annihilate the Mersikians. So, she fought like a true Saiyan. Of course, she was only a baby, so she just flailed in the aliens' arms with surprising strength.
But they wouldn't stop trying to help her. They were annoyingly persistent, but she learned to trust them.
Solara had seemingly forgotten her mission, but she remembered it as clear as day. But she didn't want to complete it, so she kept it tucked away in her mind.
Even though she became familiar with the aliens, she still slept in her pod every night. This was the last and only thing she had of her kin, her birthplace. She settled into the cushioned pod like always. The door closed as she began to drift off.
Suddenly, there were a couple of beeps. She cracked an eye open. The ship was flying! It had lifted off the ground and was beginning to speed away.
What? she thought. She turned her attention to the blinking screen. It depicted her and the pod going towards a destination she realized as Earth. This brought up old memories of her mission. She had failed to destroy the Mersikians. So, she decided something that would, unknowingly, begin her life of adventure and action.
Solara would find her older brother, Kakarot.
