And this is why I should never, ever get bored.

Also note that I wrote this before Pokémon BW was even translated into English. This is just kind of… how I perceived Cheren. I wasn't even wrong about his character, lulz.

Disclaimer: I disclaim everything. At the SAME TIME (hoshit).

" 'N'?" Cheren repeated, staring at the green-haired trainer who had just introduced himself. "Are you… serious? Your name is literally 'N'? Like a variable?" N scoffed, White still latched onto Cheren's arm as Cheren rudely attempted to explain himself. "I mean, you're name's friggin' N. N! Thirteenth letter of the alphabet. Coincidence?"

"It is," N stated blatantly. "Now, pardon me if I may, but I wish to-"

"So, have any older siblings? Named, oh, A, B, C, or D? Maybe you have younger ones named X and Y or something! Hah!" Cheren laughed aloud. N twitched slightly, his hand practically breaking the Pokéball it was holding.

White blinked, slightly speechless over this whole ordeal, as N continued to become thoroughly annoyed. "Obviously your parents fail massively at life. I mean, you can't exactly reach royal status with a name like 'N'! Hmm… Now, 'King Cheren' sounds pleasant, but 'King N'? Nah, too bland."

"… You have no idea what you're talking about, do you?" N stated softly. Cheren grinned, about to rant again, when suddenly White was ripped away from Cheren's side and latched around N's arm. "Now if you excuse me, this young lady and I will partake in battle over-" he pointed behind the Pokémon Center, "-there."

Quickly dragging him and White away from the still-baffled Cheren, Cheren sighed lightly and shoved his hands in his pockets and looked to the sky. "Hmm… He did look an awful lot like that castle-shouldered guy from just now… Gay-sis, right? I could imagine that guy's kid's name being something as ridiculous as 'N'… Maybe…"

Cheren laughed to himself, shaking his head and walking away: It'd be too perfect to be true. And besides, it couldn't be THAT obvious…
