"Boo!" Angel shared a room with me so it wasn't a surprise when Angel pounced on me that morning.
"Ugh, Angel, five more minutes!"
I groaned, it was all I could think to do.
"No! Max said we could go shopping today! And Max always keeps her promise, so we are going to that mall!"
Angel could be be very spoiled at times but Angel had a rough backstory. So it wasn't her fault that she was always so bratty. I got up and stretched. A single glance at the clock gave me an idea of how early it was. The bright red digital letters showed three numbers, 5:00 am. Why would Angel get up this early? Didn't she know I liked to sleep in?
"Yes." Said Angel.
"Yes what?" I asked
"Well I was reading your mind and you thought, didn't she know I liked to sleep in? And I said just now yes. Because I do know you liked to sleep in Nudge, but your wing came out in your sleep and one of your feathers sliced Mr. Bunnykin's head off so I thought I would wake you up as revenge!"
Angel said the word 'revenge' like a mad scientist saying his creation was alive. Angel could also read people's minds so you had to be careful what you did, say, or thought around her. Angel and I started to head downstairs. When we got half way down there was the most rancid smell ever! There was only one explanation. Max was making breakfast.
"Mornin' max!" Angel said cheerily.
"Good morning sweet Angel!" Said Max
Fang, iggy, and gazzy were all eating the breakfast Max did not make. Before I could say good morning to anyone I wondered why there were all up so early? But my thought was quickly interrupted by the whole house rattling and a bang on the roof. And a voice that we knew immediately was my biggest fear. It was the voice of Ari.
"Little pigs, little pigs let me come in."
Ari scratched our door and Max pushed us all in to the supply closet. All of us except Fang and Iggy. She went up to the roof with Fang and Iggy. Before I could go out with them they were on the roof with Ari. And I heard a yell. And it sounded like Max.
