Chapter 1: The Meet Up

It was 7:30 p.m. Just like any other night, Rein would run. The fact that no one was suppose to leave shelter at night, made it all the more exciting. To her, this was a way of getting better, or improving her skills. By now, she knew the whole area by heart, all the shortcuts, tunnels, every rooftop, she knew everything. Rein wasn't apart of any group, since she decided it'd be best to be on her own.

"Looks like more volatiles are starting to appear. Wonderful." Rein said, while looking down from on the rooftop of an abandoned home, with her red hair falling beside her. "Maybe I'll give them a chance..." Rein's words trailed off as she saw a figure run by at the corner of her eye. "There shouldn't be any runners out at this time..." The only thing Rein considered, was to investigate.

Rein was always light on her feet. She couldn't even hear herself. Whilst chasing the stranger, Rein completely forgot about all the volatiles.

"Damn." She thought while trying to keep her cool. "Whoever this person is, they better be able to defend themselves." She jumped on the next rooftop, still following the stranger. After realizing where she was, Rein figured out what this person was seeking. Antizin. Rein forgot about the Antizin drops that land in these parts. "Must be desperate if they're coming at night to grab some." Over at the Antizin crates, Rein saw Rais' men already there, but the stranger thought they could take them on. "Great." Rein pulled her sword off her back, and dove off the roof. "This should be fun."

When Rein was fighting off Rais' men, she came to the conclusion that the stranger, was a girl. Odd. Rais' men were at a disadvantage, since they weren't able to use their guns. Making loud noises draws them. The men that work for the 'All-Mighty Rais,' were incredibly slow. Taking them out was no big deal for Rein. Once Rein was finished fighting, she saw the strange girl standing behind her, stunned.

"Who are you?" The girl asked, carrying the Antizin that was in the crates.

"The friendly neighbor." Rein said sarcastically, wiping the blood off her sword.

"Very funny. What are you doing here?" The girl came closer and into the light of a nearby street light. The girl's hair was in a ponytail. Some dreads, some not. The only make-up she seemed to have was, very thick eyeliner.

"Heh, I saw you run, got curious, then followed. I usually do my runs at night, since no ones suppose to be out. Leaves more room for me."

"You're injured."

"What?"

"Your leg. It's been cut. Kinda deep from where I'm standing." The girl layed down the Antizin, and took out some gauze and alcohol. "This should keep it from bleeding."

Rein must've gotten so into the fight, she forgot about the men behind, and didn't realize getting hit. "Uh, thanks, but I'm pretty durable. This doesn't hurt mu-" As soon as the girl put pressure on it, it started to sting.

"Doesn't hurt, huh? Im taking you back with me to the Tower to get stitches."

I understand this chapter was a bit short. I just want to know what I want to do before I do big chapters. Hopefully I'll know what to do by the next chapter. Thanks for reading! Later!
