I'll admit that this isn't my best writing. I found this quite a challenge to meet but I'm happy with having created an entry for the CBPC. I hope you enjoy.

The early morning sunlight filtered into the bedroom through the thin curtains, casting an eerie light onto two slumbering forms. Wrapped tightly in each others arms they both sighed softly as sweet dreams occupied their minds.

Across town, Angela Montenegro was standing in her kitchen making an early morning cup of coffee to waken herself up when Jack Hodgins sauntered through, rubbing his face. Dressed in jeans and a T-shirt, he was all set for a relaxing Saturday with his fiancé.

"Morning baby." He smiled and made his way to her, planting a soft kiss on her cheek. "You got in late last night." He commented.

"I was busy." Angela grinned.

"Oh yeah?" he asked, curious about what his girlfriend was up to without him.

"I was out with Brennan and Booth."

"You guys went out after the case after all huh?" Hodgins grabbed a coffee mug and poured the fresh coffee into it before taking a long gulp as Angela did the same.

"I was going to come right home but I was getting this vibe from Booth all day and I decided to follow a hunch." Angela picked up her own coffee cup and turned so she was leaning against the counter top.

"What happened?" Hodgins asked, his curiosity peaked.

"Sweetie, what I saw, you won't believe."

"There's something going on with them isn't there?" Hodgins stood up a little straighter as Angela tried to suppress a grin. "Come on, you can't keep something like that a secret." He practically begged her to tell him. Angela was dying to tell him and stopped playing cool, eager to spill everything she now knew.

"We were at the bar okay. Booth was staring at Brennan the whole time, just watching her with this look in his eyes."

"He always has that look around the good Doctor." Hodgins nodded as he walked over to the fridge and pulled out a jar of peanut butter so he could make his favourite snack, a PB and J sandwich.

"Then the DJ played this romantic slow song and Booth asked Bren to dance."

"He did?" Hodgins couldn't believe Booth was actually so forward.

"He did." Angela grinned. "They were out on the floor, just dancing. Then it happened."

"What happened?" Hodgins asked, his eyes wide.

"Booth kissed Brennan." Angela stated.

"No way!" Hodgins exclaimed. "He finally got her?"

"I was there honey, I saw everything."

"I don't believe it." Hodgins shook is head.

"That's the way it happened." Angela said as she glanced around and grabbed a small fabric monkey from its permanent position on the shelf just at the edge of the kitchen where it met the lounge. Hodgins had won it for her at a carnival a few months back and insisted on displaying it somewhere prominent so Angela could always see it.

"This monkey is Booth okay." She wiggled the monkey in her hand.

"His name is Arthur." Hodgins stated, just a little too seriously.

"Right, whatever." Angela rolled her eyes. "The monkey is Booth." She repeated. "And…" she reached across and grabbed the peanut butter jar from Hodgins' hand. "…the peanut butter is Brennan." She held the monkey in one hand and the peanut butter in the other. "As the song went on they started dancing closer." She moved the monkey and the peanut butter closer together, suspending them in the air at chest height. "And right as the song ended…" With a dramatic flourish she pressed the monkey and the peanut butter jar together. Hodgins stood stunned, his jaw hanging open, still shocked that this happened. Angela placed the monkey and the peanut butter jar down on the counter then turned back to Hodgins, a wicked grin on her face.

"And I swear, that's how the monkey got the peanut butter."
