A man or what seemed to be a man, sat motionless in front of a control panel. He did not move, he did not speak just sat there looking, staring at nothing. He was fed up, of life, of travelling but most of all himself. Nothing he did was right or wrong it was just a fact something in time that could not be explained it just happened. He had seen it all, World wars 1, 2,3 and 4, Birthdays and planets dying and he never once had been considered as important.
As he sat there and stared he began to dwell on memories of the past a tear slowly ran down his cheek. They had all gone, all left, all in his memory. He could not forget, would not forget any of them, they were his only friends, his only shoulder to cry on. But they had left, Sarah Jane, so full of life, he just left without an explanation, just vanished. Rose, his beloved Rose. The one he loved so dear, She was safe but not with him, it was like a part was missing from his puzzle, his very complex puzzle. And now Martha had gone like the rest. He was alone again, not for the first time and not for the last. How he wished he wasn't arrogant didn't have to have a friend. He wished he was happy lonely but he knew he never would be.
Crash!"Damn!" He shouted as the TARDIS landed in an unknown destination. He fell to the floor and when the shaking stopped just lay there with his eyes closed, his skin pressed against the harsh, metallic floor. He lay there for half an hour in total silence, his deep breathing only breaking the air. In his mind he was imagining himself as a man, a normal human man who never had adventures through time and space just lead a perfectly normal life. But of course this dream had to end sometime and end it did, rather abruptly by a loud banging on the TARDIS followed by a woman's voice. The Doctor pulled himself of the floor, wiped the tears away and grabbed his long brown coat. A small grin appeared on his face at the sound of the annoyed woman's voice. He was smiling in spite of himself, "If this was a TV show," he thought "I would properly be saying Here I go again." But he knew it wasn't and that he would have to face loneliness eventually. Pushing that thought to the back of his mind, he shrugged and slowly opened the door of the TARDIS trying to look as innocent as possible..
