words – I feel bad for Hinata. He's such an adorable character and it kind of hurts me too when he's hurting over Misa. Dedicated to Hinata.

"I was prepared, but..." Hinata mumbled, watching the sunset.
The sun was bright, beautiful, and warm. Just like Misaki. He could practically feel her now, her amazement radiating in thick waves. It was comforting, gentle, like the caress of warmth on a cold winter's day. But despite the comfort, "... it still hurts."
Eyes rimmed with tears, Hinata stared at the good luck charm between his fingers. He carefully separated the fold the charm, fingering a metallic candy wrapper. It was of the candy that Misaki gave him after he fell from the tree.
Narrowing his eyes, he fisted his hand, crushing the charm.
A measly good luck charm would do him no good in this battle. His friends were right; he had to face reality. Misaki is cuter that when she was little, beautiful now. How could he not expect her to find somebody else after all this time? She never made an promises to him; he still remembers his.
"I'll follow Misaki..."
He would do the chasing now, but hopefully, she'd realize that he's here with no intention of leaving her again. He will fight for her, even if the chances are slim. And who knows? Maybe his love can conquer the odds. After all, a glutton's love is the strongest of all.
He will fight against Usui, even if Misaki getting together with him is seemingly inevitable.
Smiling confidently, he looked toward the setting sun, wiping his cheeks with his sleeve. "I'll worry about getting her annoyed when it happens," he said, "And just keep trying."
I'm very fond of this scene. If anybody has seen it, it's pretty obvious that I added a crumb to it. I think this is something along the lines of how he felt at the time.
Reviews would be LOVED.
