This is a drabble that I wrote back in July of 2008 and has been on deviantART (so no...I didn't steal it from myself) but has finally made the transition over here. Yes, it's old, and yes...it could use some work, but I don't feel like messing with something that I finished over half a year ago. Despite this, I figured that I would start putting some of my things here on ff.

Warnings: SasoDei and slightly ooc....

Disclaimer: I do not own the Naruto characters, and I never will.

Deidara was happily molding creatures out of his clay, only to destroy them a second later. It was a quieter form of his fleeting vision of art, especially since he would be practically killed if he set off another bomb in the base…. As the bomber did this, Sasori was tinkering with a puppet, making sure to prevent it from becoming a short-lived work of art.

The two quietly worked in peace, only vaguely aware that the other was in the room. The motions of working continued on until Deidara picked up his head and turned his gaze toward the puppet master.

"Hey, danna, un…."

Sasori sighed and continued working on the puppet. Well…the silence was already shattered, might as well figure out what the blonde wanted.

"Yes?"

Deidara went back to forming creatures out of his clay, acting like he hadn't said anything, but after a bit of silence, since he remembered that Sasori hated to be left waiting, he decided that he would answer.

"I love you, un."

The puppet sat there, only a short pause in his movements to indicate that he had heard what his partner said.

"Oh, okay."

Sasori returned to fiddling with his puppet as Deidara still worked with his clay. Now, someone would think this meant that the puppet didn't care, but Deidara knew better. Getting a passive reply like that meant more than Sasori would willingly admit. He hadn't attacked him, nor threatened him, so it definitely meant the world to the blonde. Still…it would have been nice to get a warmer reply.

"Hey, brat."

Picking his head up to see that Sasori was still working with his puppet, Deidara went back to smashing his most recent creation.

"Yes, Sasori-danna,un?"

The puppet smirked, well aware that his partner couldn't see him.

"I love you, too."

This made Deidara lift his gaze again, an amused smirk crossing his face.

"Oh, okay, un."

With that said, the two fell silent once again, both working on their art.
