Summery: Rose is mad at the Doctor. Can he win back her trust? Set after Girl in the Fireplace, hint of 10/Rose
Disclaimer: I don't own Doctor Who or Space but I do own this story. And I'm pulling some strings to own David Tennant soon
No Other
The Doctor ruffled his hair and sighed. He could tell he'd hurt her, leaving her behind like that. It had been stupid of him but it was just instinct that made him leapt on that horse and ride to save the day. She could hardly look at him now. He'd have to do some damage control before he lost her forever.
Rose kicked her bed. Hard. He was such a stupid, idiotic idiot! First he had to go and change, then it turned out she was just the latest in a long line of 'best friends' and now...Why had he left her? She knew he was just 'saving the day' but she could have been stuck on that ship with Mickey forever! The old Doctor wouldn't have done it. Did this new one not care about her as much?
It had been a while when she heard a small tapping at her door. She could tell it was him in an instant-it was a guilty, humble sort of sound.
"Come in." she called out flatly. He creaked open the door and greeted her nervously with a grin. She just sort of stared at him, hating him and his stupid, irresistible grin, "What do you want?" He gulped and prayed that his plan would work.
"Come outside for a second. I want to show you something incredible."
"I think I've had enough of your surprises today." she muttered, turning away from him. He extended his hand towards her.
"Just come please." Sighing she took it and let him drag her along to the doors of the TARDIS, "Ready?" he had a huge grin on his face as he sweeped the doors open.
"This is it?" she knew it sounded rude, but was this really how he hoped to make it up to her? She stared at the floating rocks just bobbing around in Space. It was okay but not the greatest sight in the Universe. However the Doctor refused to be put down.
"Of course not! See these rocks? One of those is about to become a Planet." She gazed at each of them carefully.
"But they all look the same."
"Exactly." she stared at him, puzzled, "Billions of pieces of rock in the Universe, all looking nearly identical, ordinary. But see that one there?" he pointed at a fairly small, normal-looking piece of rock, "I see a difference. Among all these billion that single rock is the one that's chosen for a planet. Other rocks may come close, even become planets themselves. But not a single rock will ever be like that one ever again."
Rose watched as a sudden field surrounded the rock and began dragging in the other rocks. She laid her head against his chest, listening to his heartbeat. They were going to be okay. It might take time, but they were definitely going to be okay sooner or later. They had to be.
"Another adventure?" The Doctor grinned as they went back inside.
"Definitely." she watched him carefully, "Doctor? What planet was that?" He stopped flicking switches and gazed at her.
"Gallifrey." he said.
The End
Short I know, but please review as it means a lot to me. Thanks for reading!
