Here is a short story I had to write in English. The prompt was to write a story using the color green to somehow be a part of the conflict and red be the part of the resolution.

Britney's best friend was a cat named Lord Tubbington. Lord Tubbington was a husky tabby cat with a big bushy tail. Lord Tubbington and Britney loved to play outside in Britney's backyard. Britney usually plays fetch with Lord Tubbington, but occassionally they do yoga.

One day Britney and Lord Tubbington were in Britney's backyard doing yoga when Britney asked, "Lord Tubbington, did you borrow my Coffee House t-shirt?"

"meow," replied Lord Tubbington.

"Oh, okay. I was just wondering where it went."

"Meow. Meow."

"Lord Tubbington, how many times do I have to tell you? Of course my t-shirts won't fit you! You're an extra-large."

They continued talking as the shifted from yoga to playing fetch. Most of their conversation was just small talk of course. Eventually as the day went on, Britney got thirsty.

"I'm going to get some water! I'll be right back!" she said as she opened the backyard door. She went inside to get water. Lord Tubbington patiently waited outside, like he always did.

When Britney came back out she had made a terrible discovery while searching the grass—Lord Tubbington was gone! Lord Tubbington was the type of cat that had to be picked up to go from place to place and never would run away. It was obvious to Britney that Lord Tubbington was kidnapped—catnapped! So, without a second thought she flew out her front door to go searching for Lord Tubbington.

She checked all the suspects — the mail man, Auntie Beth, Jerry the shifty man from next door and Steve the flower shop guy. When Britney was interrogating Steve she learned something shocking, Jerry had just bought roses from Steve's shop. Roses were Lord Tubbington's obsession. Everyone knew about how much Lord Tubbington loved roses. Britney could never take home a bouquet of roses without finding Lord Tubbington rolling in them a minute later. Britney ran over to Jerry's house and interrogated him intensely. Jerry had no idea what Britney was talking about but told her that his roses had went missing too!

It was nightfall and Britney gave up for the day and went home. She went to check the backyard one more time. There she found a hole in the fence between Jerry's house and hers. She also found a trail of rose petals going from that hole to the little cat door that led to inside the house. When Britney went inside she found Lord Tubbington rolling around in Jerry's roses! Britney was very happy to find out that Lord Tubbington was not catnapped and had been just inside the whole time. So Britney fed Lord Tubbington dinner and when to bed.
