EmmyMetal- Well, there was this AU on Tumblr where the Doctor was a little boy in a coma and I didn't want to write it at first, but here I am.

He'd just left Rose with his meta crisis self. He was leaving with Donna. She had to stay behind with her granddad and mum. the timelord energy in her was too much. She would have to forget about him. He had to leave her again.

"D-Donna." The boy muttered,

"Nurse! Nurse!" The woman called. The nurse came running in. "He spoke." She said,

"What did he say?" The nurse asked,

"He said Donna. But he doesn't know a Donna." The woman said, the nurse turned to a patient lying a few rows across from him.

"There is this Donna. Donna Noble. She's only ten. They don't know each other, you said?" The nurse said,

"Yes. I'm positive."

"No. No. You can't leave me!" The girl cried, her grandfather jumped awake.

"Donna?"

"What in the-" The nurse was very confused, Coma patients aren't even suppose to talk.

"Donna. Wake up, sweetie." Her grandfather said, the girl's eyes slowly opened and she was crying.

"What happened? Why am I crying?" She asked,

"You were asking someone not to leave you." Donna stared at her grandfather.

"I was? The last I remember, I was home. With you and mom. I was on the phone and a man named.. John Smith just left the house." She said,

"His name is John Smith." The woman spoke, looking over at her son.

"That's him! He's John Smith! But younger.." Donna got up and went over to look at the sleeping boy. "Why is he younger?" She then looked down at herself. "Why am I younger?" She asked,

"How old do you think you are?" The nurse asked,

"thirty-two.." They stared at her, very shocked. "What are you lookin' at me like that for?" She paused, "How old am I?"

"Donna. You're ten." Her grandfather said,

"Ten?! I can't be ten! Why am I ten?" She didn't speak like a ten year old. Well, her voice sounded like one. But she spoke like she was older.

"You're ten, Donna. Not Thirty-Two." The nurse said,

"I know that.. why am I in the hospital anyways?"

"This is the coma ward. All of these patients are in comas." The nurse explained. She looked around. Not recognizing any of them. Yet, for some reason, they were all familiar. She walked over to a girl with blonde hair, lying in the bed right before hers.

"What's her name?" She asked, quietly. The nurse looked at her clipboard.

"That's Rose Tyler. She's nine."

"How old is John Smith?" She asked,

"he's eleven." The woman said, who Donna amused was his mother.

"Can I go home now?" Donna felt as if she was going to cry. She didn't know why. Perhaps it had something to do with all of the sleeping patients.

"Yes. Of course we can." Her grandfather said, Donna slipped her hand into his and they walked out with the nurse. John Smith's mother sighed and sat in the chair next to her son.

"Oh, when will you wake up?" She brushed the hair out of his eyes with her hand.
