It's been a while :P I know I should have done the sequel a little earlier than this, but oh well. Here it is.
I don't own Generator Rex.
Three years had passed. Three long years... The torturous time dragged by as he had been put into a forced coma. Rex Salazar, EVO, had finally managed to awaken after three years of being placed into a coma by Doctor Holiday after being possessed by the evil spirits of the darkness. His soul had managed to regain some of its strength back - enough to repel the darkness...
The boy's eyes slowly fluttered open like butterfly wings. His bold, brown eyes coming into view of those who towered over him. Even though his vision was still hazy, he managed to notice that everywhere he looked was white. Everywhere apart from himself. His gazed at his tanned skin then he lifted his gaze towards the walls, then the roof, then back at his skin.
"Rex...?" A feminine voice called with caution.
"...Uh...?" He managed to choke out, the teenager's voice unable to speak any more to prevent the pain inside of his throat that continued to feel as if his throat had been set alight. The flames inside of him burning his skin.
"Your strength wouldn't have been returned so quickly, Rex, I wouldn't try to speak." The voice called out once more, the source of the voice seemed to appear from the silhouette who loomed over him.
'Doctor... Holiday?' He wondered.
As the mist inside of his eyes cleared up, the figure in front of him had started to become clearer and clearer, "H-Holi...d-day?" He questioned, wondering what had happened to him, how he got here, and why?
"Do you remember anything that happened three years ago?"
Without a sound, the teenager shook his head sluggishly, confusion and wonder struck his emotions and started to fill his eyes with sorrow at the sight of her beautiful eyes. It was as if a huge wave of many varied emotions were drowning his eyes. He could tell by looking at her that what he did was cruel, dreadful, unforgivable.
"Rex, I need you to promise me something."
Once again without a sound, he nodded his head.
"Alright, great. Whatever you do, I want you to promise me this: Please don't even do that again. You...You scared me." Docto Holiday noticed the bewilderment in Rex's eyes and decided that she had to tell him; it was the only way of making sure that he wouldn't do it again, "Three years ago, you destroyed almost everything. You used your nanites to cause evil to erupt. However, we had figured out that the loneliness and hatred in your soul had caused the darkness to take over you." Just then, without a warning, she grappled onto him and pulled him into the most comforting embrace he could ever remember.
"I-I... p-promise..." The EVO confirmed, hugging her back gently, allowing themselves to exchange body heat.
Tears slid down the female's eyes as she knew that the real Rex Salazar was back - back from the dark depths of hell. Back from the cavernous abyss which lead him down the path of destruction...
