Danny looked at the scene in front of him and sighed.

"Who are you calling shallow, loser?"

"The clown right in front of me!"

"Pardon?"

"Oh you couldn't hear me from all the caked on clown paint?"

"I'll have you know, my makeup is only the icing. I look good, with or without it. Which is more than I can say for you goth freak!"

He felt a tap on his shoulder. He turned around to see Valerie shaking her head.

"Fighting again?" She asked showing no emotion in her voice.

"What else is new?" Danny replied. He winced as he saw the fight was about to get physical. "I think we're about to have a problem."

The four teens were in the school cafeteria. Things had started with Paulina complaining about the food. Sam had told her none too kindly to shut up and order. Paulina insulted Sam about her tastes, and the two had promptly fallen into a challenge of who could insult the other better.

They were now both holding up the line.

"I get princess you get goth girl?" Valerie suggested.

"Will Paulina even let you near her?" Danny honestly didn't want to get in the middle of the fight. Last time he had ended up with scratch marks.

"I'll make her." Valerie grinned evil. Unfortunately, her phone began to ring. "Sorry I've got to take this. You deal with these two. Make sure they don't kill each other."

Valerie ran out the cafeteria doors.

"Great. Where's Tucker when you need him?" Danny groaned.

Tucker was at a "Technology of the Future" conference and wouldn't be around for another couple of days.

Acting on his annoyance, Danny pushed past the crowd of people watching and put himself in-between the two fighters.

"Will you guys please stop? You're making a scene."

Paulina grinned at Sam. "Of course Danny! Want to sit with the A-listers?" She grabbed his wrist and started pulling him away.

"You shallow witch!" Sam grabbed onto his other arm. Both girls pulled towards the opposite direction.

"You know, I always wished girls to fight over me. Now I seriously regret that wish." Danny muttered.

Neither of the three noticed the crowd slowly backing away or a portal opening up behind Paulina.

"Danny, watch out!" Valerie yelled from her spot in the doorway.

Her warning went to unheard ears, as Paulina gave one last yank. Sam lost her balance and pushed all three into the portal.

A/N I've had this idea for a while.
