Title: Breathe Again

Rated K

Summary: His concentration broke. His thoughts drowned him as his head touched surface. WallyxKuki implied drabble. Number 10 of the 100 Theme Challenge

Disclaimer: I don't own KND

A/N: Here's another one-shot for the 100 Theme Challenge. Well, it's more of a drabble (Not really because I know I went over a 100 words). Either way, it's short, but I hope everyone enjoys it anyway. For more information on the 100 Theme Challenge, please contact either me, Numbuh 212 or Super Reader for details.

His concentration broke. His thoughts drowned him as his head touched the surface.

Never in his life had Wally imagined himself in this predicament. It was easy to describe the way he was feeling as his heart strained for air, its' pounding more noticeable a sound than it had been ever before. He felt excited, proud, accomplished. He felt strong as he held his breath. He felt like he could stay in that position forever.

Forever didn't come.

"Wally! You weren't supposed to stay down there for more then a minute!" Kuki complained as his head cracked the surface of the water. He let the hold he had on his breath loose; his heart started dancing as it fed on the air's oxygen. Wally grasped onto the pool ledge so he could properly listen to his girlfriend, who was currently standing over him, her hands crossed against her chest.

"If you want to learn how to swim better, then you have to follow my instructions, you dope!" He smirked, pushing himself from the ledge of the pool so he could show off his new talent of floating. Kuki sighed, irritated. "Ugh, never mind." She jumped in the pool with a happy squeal; the waves she had created forcing Wally back underwater. He didn't mind. Wally realized that it would only be another matter of seconds, until he would be forced to retreat to the surface once again, only wishing he really could be able to stay in that position forever.

A/N: I know that this drabble wasn't much, but I'm trying to get most of these 100TC one-shots completed in a reasonable time. I'm trying to get over my bad habit of procrastination. I hope some people found enjoyment out of this, it isn't my favorite piece of work but I'm not mortified by it either. Thanks for reading everyone, until next time!
