Practicing

"Hey mom, where is Maddie?" Liv asked her mother jumping in front of her.

"She's in the backyard practicing!" Liv looked at her mother confused "Again, but the doctor said…"

"I know what the doctor said Liv, but you know her, she wants to be the best." Karen said cutting her daughter off.

Liv's POV

I know that Maddie wants to be in top form for the junior Olympics, but it's been two days since she was off crutches and the doctor said that if she started training right away she could hurt her knee again, but this time it would be permanently…

Maddie's POV

I know that the doctor said I need to take it easy, but I can't; not now I need to get back to what I was before I tore my ACL. There are only three weeks left till the junior Olympics games start and I'm still out of shape, and I promised my coaches that I will be in top shape and that I will crush our entire enemy's BAM WHAT…

Maddie was practicing free shots when Liv stepped into the backyard "What are you doing?" Maddie stopped and looked at her sister. When Maddie didn't say anything Liv continued. "Maddie didn't you heard what the doctor said about practicing so soon."

"I don't care, I need to keep practicing, I already failed my team for the sate championship when I teared my ACL I'm not going to fail my country too." Maddie said to her sister and shot the ball at the basket. Liv went and grabbed the ball before Maddie. "You're not going to touch this till the games start alright; I don't want to see you hurt like that again."

Maddie looked at her sister wit pleading eyes "Liv come on give me back my ball weren't you the one that wanted me to keep trying to get back in shape?"

"Yes, but what if you tore you're ACL again?" Liv asked her sister

"I am being really careful Liv, now give me back my ball, I need to practice my free throw" Maddie commanded her sister, but Liv just stood there watching her. "Come on Liv, I'm serious, I really need to practice!" Maddie said.

Maddie's POV

Ok! I know that Liv just wants to help me, but she doesn't understand anything. I need to practice for the junior Olympics, even if that means a further injury and never playing basketball again, I have to try otherwise, I'll be sitting on the bench the whole time.

"Maddie you are going with the team on the Olympics games even if you don't practice every minute of the day." Liv said, but Maddie just looked at her." Yes, but I want to actually play Liv, not to sit on the bench the whole time." Maddie explained to her sister.

"You don't know that!" Liv said

"Yes, I know that, to play in the junior Olympics you have to be the best and right now I'm not" Liv looked at her twin sister shocked. The Maddie she knew was confident and believed that she was the best player, this Maddie was nothing like her, this Maddie was doubting her abilities as a basketball player and wasn't confident at all.

"Do what you want Maddie, but please I'm begging you; rest a few more days and then practice all you want." Liv said throwing the ball on the ground.

"Liv wait!" Maddie, yelled as her sister entered the house, but Liv didn't listen. Maddie looked at the ball for a while then she grabbed it and put it away and entered the house as well.

Maddie's POV

Liv is right, It's not going to be the end of the world, if I rest a few more days!

A/N I hope you liked the story. It's my first Liv and Maddie story and English is not my first language, but I hope I improved it at least a little
