A/N: So I tried writing the next chapter of ADT, but in the middle of it I started reading Free! fanfiction and it all went to hell from there. Needless to say, this fic is me procrastinating again.
The prompt for this fic was "Psychometry"(which has the same definition as "delayed reaction" I've been told) given by Spring Zephyr, which gave me so many ideas. But it had to be Naoki/Aichi, so that kinda narrowed down what I could and couldn't do.
Judging by how long it took to decide on a prompt and how we finally settled on one(our first choice was "Math", imagine how that would have gone) I think I might look into those random word generators. They're pretty funny sometimes.
.
Their relationship had progressed rather slowly, so Naoki couldn't really be blamed for not noticing it right away.
They were at his house, Aichi having offered to tutor him in the subjects he was having trouble with. He wasn't too surprised to find out that the other boy had relatively high grades.
The only difference between Aichi tutoring him and Shingo tutoring him was that Aichi sat much, much closer, leaning into his side with his head on Naoki's shoulder. He hardly seemed as bashful in private as he did around other people, but he supposed Aichi was just the clingy type.
The thought didn't make him feel any less awkward though.
The subject they were working on now was physics, which he had the lowest scores in. He'd asked Aichi to define "force of attraction" in a way he'd understand, and to which Aichi simply leaned up and pressed their lips together, briefly.
"Something like that?" He said, cheeks lightly tinted red. They'd simply moved on to the next question, the implication going over his head completely. About an hour and a half later, Aichi had gone home, wishing him luck with the rest of his homework.
The realization sunk in another hour later, when he was in his room, flipping through the notes he'd borrowed.
"Aichi kissed me!"
.
A/N: This was... harder to write than I thought it'd be, considering their personalities. This is how it goes in my mind: Naoki is the awkward one in the relationship, and Aichi is only embarrassed if it's someone else making advancements. This is also my way of saying "Add Naoki to the character tags already" because he's still not there and somehow Rati is.
Anyway, I've officially jumped ship to RenAi, leaving Kaichi in the dust because over the past two weeks I've realized Kai is the cause of all the shit that happened in seasons one, three, AND four, and other than the pairing being cute I couldn't find a legit reason to like Kai and keep shipping it. Aichi deserves better(and a therapist). Reading a rather satisfying RenAi fic today was what settled it for me, so while I may still use Kaichi in some fics, expect to see more RenAi popping up from me.
