Magic Trick

A mischievous grin appears on Lambo's face as he sees I-pin sitting all alone in a corner. The bald,Chinese assassin has a hand resting firmly on each thigh, her eyes and lips closed tight. It doesn't take an IQ of two hundred to figure out that she is in the middle of a deep meditation session; nor does it take a lot of sensitivity to feel that she doesn't appreciate company at that moment. (She wouldn't be hiding inside Tsuna's room if she does, would she?). Unfortunately, the only thing that Lambo's thinking about is bugging her. And so he merrily skips towards his playmate, unmindful of the consequences that may arise later on. Stopping a foot away from her, he leans down and taps her wide forehead. "Oi,I-pin!"

I-pin opens her eyes--or he thinks she did. He can really never tell because open or not, the shape of her eyes remains to be the same slanting lines. She mutters something in Chinese. Clueless about her native language, he obviously doesn't understand a word she says. He knows, however, that she is annoyed. Her tone and facial expression are more than enough indicators.

But he does not care.

"Hey,guess what! I learned a new magic trick today!" he excitedly exclaims to the seemingly uninterested five-year-old.

I-pin stands up and moves to the far end of the room, away from him. However, the young Bovino assassin follows, still insensitive to the other's need for peace.

"I swear you'll be amazed!"

Another string of angry Chinese words are heard. I-pin changes location again.

But Lambo just won't give up; it's just not in his personality.

"Watch!" He pushes his hands foward, urging her to focus on his small, empty palms. Knowing Lambo's persistence knows no bounds, she decides to just give in to his petty wish and silently, she hopes that by doing so, he'll eventually leave her alone.

With a sigh leaving her lips, she allows Lambo to do his magic trick.

"See my hands? They're empty right? Now ,hold on..." He shoves a hand inside the pocket of his cowprint overalls to take out a piece of coin. "See this coin here?"--he raises his right hand--"I'll make it disappear in a blink of an eye."

I-pin continues to stare at him blankly. Lambo, the aspiring magician continues, despite the lack of enthusiasm from his lone audience. Clenching his hand, he keeps the coin from her view. And then he starts waving his right hand while chanting the magic words,"Coin, coin, disappear!"

I-pin wishes he'd disappear.

"Coin, coin disapp--oh,what's that?" he suddenly points to the ceiling. Reflexively,I-pin looks up to see what he has seen. He takes her distraction as an opportunity to quickly transfer the piece of metal to his left hand. When a mumbling I-pin returns her attention to him, he gives her a wide grin before saying,"Look! The coin is gone!" He holds out his empty right hand as proof. "You want to know where it is? " This time he holds out his left hand. "Tada!"

I-pin thinks it's the stupidest magic trick she has ever seen. But she has been expecting this. After all,Lambo and stupidity always go hand in hand.

And speaking of Lambo,he is currently releasing an array of loud chuckles-- much to her annoyance."Wahahaha! I am so amazing, aren't I?"

I-pin waves her hand as if saying 'Yeah, sure whatever. Now go away.' Lambo, sadly, isn't showing showing any signs of leaving yet.

"Oi, wanna see another magic trick? I'm going to make this coin disappear from my left hand and make it reappear on my right hand!"

An eye twitches. A mouth forms a tight line. I-pin stands up from her seat, all determined to show Lambo her own magic trick. In a blink of an eye, she makes him fly; a loud crash is heard next. Moans of someone in pain soon follows.

And I-pin makes a mental note to apologize to Tsuna later for his broken door.
