Crescendo Fan-Fic

(It all starts with the last lines of crescendo: He paused with significance. "Tell me, Nora. Was it you who killed my dear friend Chauncey Langeais?")

Nora froze when Mr. Millar asked that.

"Well?" He prompted.

"I-I-"Nora started to stutter when the door slammed open. A hooded figure entered. Her walk was feminine so Nora knew it was a girl, even though she could only see her rounded red lips from under the cloak.

"Ah. Elspeth. You decided to finally show up." Hank said mockingly.

"I wasn't going to, and I guess I should just leave now that you don't want me here." The hooded figure answered in an indifferent voice.

"No, stay. We will need your skill." Hank decided after some thought. Nora saw Elspeth give an evil smile.

Nora stole a glance at Patch. He was watching Elspeth as if he was actually scared of her. On second thought, forget what I said before. Run, now. Patch whispered to her mind right before he broke out fighting. Nora jumped forward to the door but she was blocked by two Nephilim standing in the doorway. She backed up in fear until her back was pressed against the wall opposite. She watched in fear as Patch fought each Nephil. He's going to get himself killed!

Nora suddenly felt woozy, like she had when she had been drugged. Again? She asked herself as she blacked out.

"Nora? Angel?" Patch's voice drifted from above where Nora lay. Her eyes fluttered open and took in the scene. Patch was leaning over her with a worried look, over in a corner she saw all the Nephilim but Elspeth tied up and gagged. Elspeth was watching the captured Nephil.

"I'm fine, Patch." Nora tried to sit up but failed. Just then Elspeth walked over.

"Is she all right?" Elspeth asked scornfully; as if she hated Nora with all her heart. Wow, nice; I barely know her and yet she already hates me! Nora thought.

"Let me introduce you. Elspeth; this is Nora." Patch gestured to Nora. Elspeth reached down to shake Nora's hand.

"And Nora; this is Elspeth, my…" Patch trailed off. Back off Princess, you don't deserve him. A voice that was definitely Elspeth's said loud and clear to Nora's mind.
