"Back In that.that zoot suit?"
Well, I had completed the hardest part of my mission; it looked like everything would be fantastic for my future parents. At least I sure hoped so. I turned to leave but then turned back around as something occurred to me. And a small smile played across my lips "What the hey?" I thought.
"Listen," I told them "If you two ever get married and have kids, and one of them when he's eight years old sets fire to the living room rug.go easy on him."
"Ok-Kay." said my future, yet to be father, smiling while looking totally baffled at the same time, his date and my future mother who had had the hots for me up until about a half hour ago looked equally boggled. Satisfied I turned and slammed through the double doors knocking someone dressed in black over and ducking under another guy's arm who was standing in the dark as I ran towards Doc's Packard. I didn't even take time to go back and apologize, I didn't have the time to do so-besides, what kind of moron would be standing in such a dangerous place where he could get hit by the door so easily?
I pulled out the keys to Doc's Packard and slipped into the old classic automobile, taking a couple seconds to catch my breath. Then slamming the door shut and buckling my seat belt I started the vehicle up for Doc's place. I was going to be cutting it close that was for sure, but there was simply no way I was gonna go back in this ridiculously ugly suit I was wearing. I pulled into the driveway and rushed inside only to have a small hairy lump run through my legs nearly causing me to fall to the floor. "Hi Copernicus" I greeted the small dog as I scratched him under the chin. He barked happily and began to run around in circles energetically "good dog!" I said ruffling his fur as I began to search for the normal looking clothes that were somewhere around here.
My clothes.
It took me a few minutes but finally I was able to find them in a bundle on top of Doc's washing machine. I changed as quickly as I could then I hung the suit nicely up on a metallic hanger and hung it back in Doc's closet. Then rushing past Copernicus I walked outside the house and locked it up. Then crawling back into the old vehicle of Doc's I started her up and headed for the courthouse square.
I sped down the street. I had only moments to spare, before my window of opportunity was gone forever and this was not something I could afford to miss. My whole life depended on it. ---WHUMP! Suddenly there was a jarring and I was sent rocketing upward until my head hit the ceiling of the car. "Ow!" I muttered rubbing my already sore head.
I hate speed bumps.
Finally I arrived, jumping out of the Packard I threw the keys to Doc as he ran at me a look of annoyance on his face.
"Your late!" he scolded, "Do you have no concept of time?"
" Hey c'mon!" I replied, "I had to change, do you think I'm going back in that.that..That zoot suit?" I asked him as I helped him yank the tarp off the Delorean...
