Jacob and Leah were heading home from the Cullens' Mansion; Leah still called it the crypt, on Jake's motorcycle.

"Lee, hug me tighter, I wouldn't want you to fall off!" he asked of her. Leah huffed, but did as he asked.

"Jake slow down, you're going pretty fast!" Leah asked.

"Tell me you love me first"

"I love you, Jacob. Now please slow down!" Leah pleaded.

"No can do babe, not without a kiss from my beautiful new wife." Jacob said as he turned around. She sighed, but kissed him.

"Lee, can you take this helmet off me and put it on yourself, it's getting annoying." Jake pleaded with the girl. She complied, but not without mumbling about how Jacob could've done it himself.

"Now brace yourself babe." He said.

The crash was discovered by Embry and Paul on their patrol and was reported in the news the next day.

One person had lived, and it wasn't Jacob. Leah realized what had happened right after Jake was pronounced dead at the scene.

Jake had noticed that the brakes weren't working halfway down the road and wanted Leah to hug him, kiss him, and tell him she loved him one more time before he died. He knew the only one that could live through it would be the one with the helmet on, even with werewolf healing, so he gave it to her.

Leah cried all that week nonstop. Even when the pack tried to cheer her up, she wouldn't budge from their couch. She finally stopped long enough to realize that she was now the alpha, because Jake couldn't be. That only made her cry more, remembering he was dead.

Two weeks after the crash she went to Carlisle because she was throwing up a lot. What they found out finally made her smile. She was pregnant with Jacob's twins, the Renegade's heirs, conceived on their wedding night.

Leah still wears the ring, because even though Leah found her imprint three years after, she ran away from him as fast as she could and did the impossible. She broke the imprint, and as soon as she grows old enough, and has seen enough of the world, she'll join him in heaven. Because Leah will always love Jacob.
