I don't own Lorien Legacies!

Defenestration. The act of throwing someone or something out of a window. Also, defenestration can mean the act of removing someone from a position of power.

"Hey sweetheart." Nine says as he walks into the kitchen. Six glares in response, but doesn't move away from the counter she's leaning on while sipping her coffee.

"Don't call me that, Nine."

He smirks back at her, as if he's won something. "I thought that you loved it, sweetheart."

"Can you be any more annoying? Is it even possible?" she asks. She glances around and notices that no one else is around the penthouse. They're probably all asleep, seeing as it's six in the morning.

"I can try, sweetheart. So, what are you doing awake at six, Six?"

"I always get up early to train, and figured I could use a cup of coffee afterwards." She explains. She finishes her coffee, so she rinses out the mug and sets it in the sink.

"Sure, sweetheart." He answers. As she walks away, he calls out. "Where you goin', sweetheart?"

She turns around and narrows her eyes at him. "I thought I said not to call me sweetheart."

"I vaguely remember that conversation, sweetheart. I don't remember agreeing though." He smirks at her, and she glares back. "What are you going to do about it?"

She walks back towards him with purposeful strides. When they're extremely close to each other –mere inches apart, really –she leans in slightly and says, "I'll defenestrate you." And then she starts to walk away again.

"You'll throw me out the window?"

Hi! Thanks for reading this one-shot, please review and tell me your thoughts. So I got this idea while reading this book for school where the author used the word defenestration. I had no idea what that meant, so I looked it up and found out that it's the act of throwing someone/something out of a window. And then this came to me, I guess. I know that it's really short –way shorter than my usual –but I just didn't really want to add anything else to this. Anyways, have an amazing day/night!
