Spectrum of Smiles
You could have that smile forced through the twists and turns of an obstacle course till it comes out smeared with lipstick that nobody looking at you realises is blood or you could have a soft tender smile with lip balm moistening the cracks and softening the skin except no-body's standing close enough to see or you could have a thousand little smiles all adding up from the thousand fans in the crowd and watching from home and the lip gloss can glitter under the stage so nobody – not even you – can mistake it for anything other than the blooming smile it is.
