A/N: Hello! This is my first fanfiction and it's unbeta-ed, so there's probably going to be many mistakes...I hope that this story won't burn your eyes if you decide to read it. It's based on the Synchronicity songs by Hitoshizuku P ^^ They're beautiful songs, and the illustrator for the PV's is very talented!

The pythoness gripped her staff tightly, kneeling on the cold ground. Ice obelisks illuminated the cave. Her long turquoise hair pooled around her. The mask she wore concealed her eyes for as long as she could remember.

Blurred, monochrome memories with only red flashed through her mind. Someone had died. Who was it? She couldn't remember. For the first time in centuries, the Dragon's Guardian felt empty and abandoned. She was lonely. But that was the fate of the Dragon's Guardian: to guard the dragon for eternity. Her life was meaningless otherwise, was it not?

Standing up, a cold, cruel smile crept onto the Guardian's lips. The time had come for a new Songstress to dance and sing for the dragon until she fell, never able to walk again.

"Len...Rin...my lovely children." a woman with long, golden hair sat on the bed, murmuring. She smiled warmly, caressing the soft cheeks of the two enfants. She bent down, placing gentle kisses upon their foreheads. Happy at their mother's touch, the twins giggled innocently.

A knock came from the door. Lily stood up, heading to the door. "Who is it-?" she started to ask, opening the wooden door. Her eyes widened when she saw a man in black at the entrance. Imperial soldiers accompanied him. The man held up a royal degree for her to read.

"Lady Lily. I am honored to inform you that your child, Rin, will become the next Songstress." the old man said. A smirk appeared on his lips as he put away the royal degree. Lily stared in horror. She didn't expect her daughter to become the next Songstress.

"No- please! I beg you, don't take her away!" Lily cried desperately. The man ignored her pleas, entering the house. Lily reached for his cape, attempting to stop him. She wouldn't let her Rin go through that torture! To serve a dragon, of all beings! "Please!" she begged again and again. Her voice was raw from all the shouting.

Strong arms stopped her. Lily elbowed the white soldier who was abstaining her. Tears fell from her eyes. "NO!" she screamed, watching the man bend down to take the crying Rin away.

They left, not even bothering to close the door behind them.

Lily fell to the ground, sobbing. She lost her daughter that day to the despicable dragonism of the kingdom. How she hated dragonism. Lily knew that she would never see Rin again. She clenched her fists, letting out a wail. What had she done wrong? Why was God so unfair to her?

Len lay on the bed, crying. He wondered where the small body beside him had gone, and why his mother was making such loud noises.
