That gun... Do you know the story behind that gun? Well. Let me tell you, Hunter.

Back in 1835, when Halley's Comet was overhead, the same night those men died at the Alamo, they say that Samuel Colt made a gun... a special gun. He made it for a Hunter- a man like you, only on horseback. The engraving on its grip read, non timebo mala. I will fear no evil.

They said- they said that the Colt could kill anything.

Which was, unfortunately, not entirely correct. In 2009, Dean Winchester shot Lucifer himself in the head. That's when the Winchesters learned that there are only five things in all Creation that the Colt can't kill. Heh. Those boys probably met all five categories in their day. And probably figured out how to kill them all, one way or another.

But before then, those Winchesters put down all kinds of fuglies using that gun: crossroad demons, vampires (including the Alpha), a phoenix, and a pagan god. But most especially the yellow-eyed Prince of Hell, Azazel; otherwise known as the demon that killed their mother and most set them on their path. Yes, they did a world of good with that gun.

Yes, a world of good. Until another yellow-eyed demon got her hands on that gun. Dagon, one of the four Princes of Hell, lit it up with the very fires of hell. After that, it wasn't a gun anymore. Melted and broken, it sat on a shelf in a Men of Letters Bunker collecting dust.

Then, back in 2019, Earth passed through the debris caused by Halley's Comet. As the Orionid Meteors fell, they say Dean Winchester got it into his head to fix a gun... a special gun.

See, the Winchesters had quite the collection of broken things on the shelf in that Bunker. Dean took the Lance of Micheal, made by the Archangel and broken by the King of Hell, to forge a new barrel. He took the shards of the Sword of Bruncvik, the blade made of Purgatory and capable of slaying dragons, to cast a new cylinder. And he took the First Blade, the bone no longer powered by the Mark of Cain, to carve a new set of grips.

Dean engraved his project with the words: Timent te malum – Evil shall fear.

Now this New Colt... It wasn't the same gun that it had been before. See, all Dean wanted to do- was fix something. Anything. Life had been hard, and Winchesters took wins wherever they could get them. When he forged all the pieces, all he wanted, all his mind was focused on: was helping people.

The first time Dean Winchester pointed the New Colt at a demon and pulled the trigger did not end how he thought it would. The demon's soul was purified, and the demon made mortal again. The first vampire lost his fangs. The cursed man was freed.

It doesn't kill things anymore.

It fixes them.

So, pull the trigger, Little Hunter.

Let's find out what it does to something like me.
