As Life Goes On

Please come to the park in little whinging this Thursday at midnight! This is important so you better come! Stop, I repeat stop, wallowing in misery.

Remus

At 11:00 pm that Wednesday Harry Potter was still hesitant of the cryptic message. There was no harm if he took the proper precautions. He doubted it was a trap and if it was what did it matter if he died. All the people he cared about would die soon anyway. Or so he thought. And so he went trap or no trap.

Harry pulled on a jumper and crept down the stairs. He opened the door just so much as to not make it squeak. He had done this many times before in all the time he lived in the little house. He did so whenever he needed to get out. Have some time to himself or in the early morning when he couldn't sleep so he ran.

As he walked the short distance to the lone park Harry wondered who or what would be awaiting him. He thought this not out of curiosity but for something to think about. Since Sirus died nothing interested him anymore, nothing at all. All harry thought about now was to keep his mind Sirus.

At long last he arrived at the park. Remus was standing there with a smile on his face. This particular smile meant he was hiding something, something important indeed.

Upon arrival Harry walked up to Remus wand raised. "what was the first happy thought I thought of when you taught me the patrons charm?" Harry asked roughly.

Remus' smile grew "That's an easy one. It was the first time you rode a broom." He replied with ease.

'Okay! It's really him' Harry thought as he lowered his wand. "What are you doing here?" he asked rather bluntly. Remus' smile faltered for a second. Harry softened his tone and explained "I mean I thought you were on a mission for the order?"

"Yes I was but I thought this was more important." He paused, "Come boy!"

A huge black dog, greatly resembling a grim, came bounding out of the bushes. They were the same bushes that the supposed grim scared Harry three years previously.

"NOOOOOOOOOOO!" Harry yelled as he pounced over to pumble one of his late father's best friends. "How. Could. You. Buy. Dog. Look. Sirus!" He punctuated every word with a punch except the last, when he punched twice. As he finished he flopped down on the dusty ground and started to sob. The numbness about Sirus he usually tried to feel was broken and it hurt so much it was actually physical pain.

"Er... Harry" Said a voice from behind him. And Harry turned to the voice only to see the impossible. He was dead yet he was standing right in front of Harry. Harry saw Sirius Black!

"Great!" Harry sighed as he flopped on to the dusty ground, "'the chosen one' is having hallucinations. I'm going crazy! Who's going to kill old Moldywart now?"

The man who looked very much like Sirius chuckled. "Harry!" he exclaimed "I'm not a hallucination nor am I dead!"

"Then what happened?!" Harry asked as he wiped the stray tears from his eyes.

"Well I don't quite know." Sirius started, "I fell through the vale obviously but then what happened is a blur. Though when I was falling all I could do was wish I was anywhere but where it was leading. Then I wasn't , I wasn't going to where the vale was leading. It was still dark was a lot warmer. I think I was somewhere off the Caribbean . After a couple of weeks I got your heart-wrenching goodbye letter, which by the way still haunts me, and used hedgwig to write a letter to Dumbledor asking for a portkey. He sent one and I was off to London. I've spent the last month or so being taken care of by madam Pomfre. And thats the whole story."

"So," Harry said after a moment, "Were the only ones who know?"

"By us, do you mean Remus, you, Dumbledor and Mme Pomfre? Then yes."
