It was a gloomy day outside of the small church packed with the students and professors. The mourning patrons were huddled closely together in the pews, some lightly sobbing at the loss of such a great man.

Slowly a young man with short wavy brown hair wearing a gold and sage green tie approached the podium at the front. His eyes were puffy and he was very clearly having trouble breathing steadily. He lifted a handkerchief and dabbed at the corners of his eyes before he took a deep breath and shakily exhaled.

"Hello everyone, my name's CushionySiren . I'll try and make this brief. Monty Oum meant a lot to me. He was a genius, a truly fantastic and creative man who introduced us to a large, beautiful world and followed his dream of creating something for all of us to enjoy. Monty was, and still is, my idol. He created something fantastic and wonderful for all of us and I don't know where I would be without it. I honestly don't.

"Monty has inspired me to follow my dreams to create stories that I can be proud of and my fans can enjoy. I wouldn't be the person I am now without Monty. He inspired me to chase my dreams and work hard to create something for everyone and for that I cannot thank him enough." He gave a sigh and looked around from team RWBY to Ozpin, from his own OC team to the remainder of team JNPR and shed a few tears.

"Behind this screen I really am crying, but you know what crying won't get me anywhere. Monty gave all of us so much and I'm going to keep going. His dream of creating fantastic, amazing works should live on in all of us. It's what he would have wanted and it's exactly what I'm going to do.

"I love RWBY and our family; to see Monty go has really left me kind of broken and I don't know when I'll recover. But I'm not going anywhere, I'm still working on all of my stories and I'm going to complete my next installments for each very soon and when those are done I'm going to create brand new stories. Monty inspired me to be a creator for everyone, so that's what I'm going to do. Until next time…"

In loving memory of Monty Oum

You gave all of us so much
