Here is just a short drabble; despite it's length and simplicity I'm fairly pleased with the result. I do hope you enjoy this piece. Any sort of criticism is welcome but please take note of the fact that it is supposed to be set up like this and not necessarily grammatically correct.
At the age of three, he lost his father.
At the age of eight, he lost his best friend
At the age of twelve, he lost the first person to love him.
At the age of fourteen, he lost his sensei.
At the age of twenty-six, he became a sensei.
At the age of twenty-seven, he failed as a sensei, losing one of his students to evil and the other two to better teachers.
At the age of twenty-nine, his two students returned to him and they tried to save the third.
At the age of thirty, he fought in the fourth great ninja war and lost countless more.
At the age of thirty-one, his favorite student became a jounin.
At the age of thirty-two, his other student became hokage.
At the age of thirty-three, he lost his rival and closest friend.
At the age of thirty-six, he fell in love.
At the age of thirty-seven, he admitted it.
At the age of thirty-eight, he had his first child.
At the age of thirty-nine, he had his second.
He never reached forty.
At the age of twenty-seven, she lost the man she loved.
At the age of twenty-eight, she lost her first friend.
At the age of thirty, she lost her parents to a rouge ninja.
At the age of thirty two, her firstborn graduated the academy
At the age of thirty-three, her firstborn made chunin.
At the age of thirty-four, her youngest gradated the academy.
At the age of thirty-six, her youngest made chunin.
At the age of thirty-eight, her firstborn made jounin.
Her youngest never reached jounin.
At the age of thirty-nine, she mourned the death of her child.
At the age of forty-three, her only child joined anbu.
At the age of forty-seven, her only child fell in love.
And here I am now, at the age of twenty-four, wearing a red hat and hokage robes.
Married.
Two children.
My father would have been proud.
So would my mother, had she not died two years ago.
She died at the age of forty-nine.
She never reached fifty.
"Mommy!"
They could be heard from the afterlife.
"Look who's the old one now, Sakura."
