No One's POV

They were standing in the airport, dreading this moment. The moment they had to say goodbye.
"I'll miss you." Fabian Rutter whispered into Nina Martin's ear.
"I know, I'll miss you too. So much." Nina said back softly as he held her in his arms.
"Why do you have to go?" He asked, tears threatening to spill from both of their eyes.
"I have to take care of Gran, she's ill. But I promise I'll visit." Nina said, pulling back from his warm embrace.
"And I'll visit you." Fabian promised as they called Nina's flight.
"I have to go." Nina said, frowning, "Goodbye."
"No, don't say goodbye. Goodbye means we won't see each other again. But we will." Fabian said, holding her hands.
Nina looked up at him and gave him a kiss.
"I'll see you later." Nina muttered once they broke apart.
"I'll see you later." Fabian repeated, looking her in the eyes.
"I have to go now." Nina said, and gave him one last kiss before boarding her plane.
She leaned back in her window seat, and put her hand against the window, a tear trickling down her cheek.
And at the airport, Fabian has his hand against the glass wall, separating him from the outside, a tear falling down his face, thinking about the love of his life.
But they never said goodbye. Because goodbye means going away, and going away means forgetting.
