One day in ages past the goddess Chislev wandered through the grand forest of Zhan. Although it was summer on Kyrnn, the day was cold and grey. Zivilyn had noticed this and searched out his beloved, for he knew the bleakness of the day would be mirrored in his mates heart.

Chislev smiled a wan smile when she saw Zivilyn appraoching, and the sun peaked out from behind the clouds, and Krynn was blessed with some light. "What is it that has you so distressed my love?" Zivilyn asked Chislev, pushing a sunlight colored strand of hair from her face.

"I have just returned from the Happy Hunting Ground, and a meeting with Habbakuk."

"And this displeases you? Is there something wrong in the natures of Krynn?"

"No my beloved." She answered softly. "Lord Paladine came to call apon his son while I was there."

"And this distressess you darling?" Zivilyn with all his wisdom was still confused.

Again Chislev's smile shown, and Krynn was kissed by more sunlight. "No my beloved. I could not help but see thier great bond, father and son, and longed for a child of my own."

Now it was Zivilyns turn to smile. How had he not guessed this. "Is that all my love? Then here, a gift for you." And with that he took from himself some fo the great tree of life, forming and shaping a 'human' form from the wood and bark. "She is yours."

Standing before Chislev stood what looked like a young woman, carved from wood, yet looking so much alive. Chislev approached the statue, giving it a kiss, and at the same time, breathing life into it, as Paladine had breathed life into the metallic statues Reorx had made of his lost dragons. As she did, a warm summer breeze blew across Kyrnn, and the dark clouds that had made the sky grey and lonely dispursed, replaced with the golden sun that was reflected in Chislev's hair. In those moments a child was born, the demi-god Kami, daughter of Chislev.

Kami's hair is deep brown, reminisant of the wood she was crafted from. Her skin tones range from pale in the winter months, to lightly tanned in the summer months. Here eyes shine in shades of blue, reflecting her moods, bright and brilliant when she is overjoyed, cool and almost grey in more somber moments.

She is most often dressed in the colors of her mother, browns, yellows, and greens. And wears a tri-colored feather, the symbol of her mother, weaved into her hair.

Kami is "immortal" in that she does not age, but she can be killed, it just takes a little more than for the average person. Like her mother's avatars, no plant of animal will attack her, regaurdless of such things as charm spells. As a demi-god she's not suppose to 'interfere' in the going ons of mortals. But like most other demi-gods, she has learned there are ways around the rules set down by the Gods (even the Gods themselves find ways around 'the rules').

Her main concern is for the well-being of the natural world. Something that means a lot to both of her parents. "Nature is the cradle of wisdom." her father once told her. And she knows well that her mother feels each wound inflicted apon the world of Krynn itself. She also understands the need for the balance of the forces of good and evil.
