AU: Larcade is an official member of Sabertooth.
Rehking; Puddles
Larcade stared out at the grey skies rolling in, his features held contempt as his chin rested upon his hand.
It was close to night when the clouds began to darken, cool air travelling throughout the town. The only shelter him and his guildmates had from the harsh rain was the structure of Sabertooth.
Larcade held a breath, closing his eyes in thoughtful silence.
Maybe it was well that the rain had begun to shower. The land had been dry lately with no rain in the past few months. Maybe, when the storm ends, he could practice some of his purity magic. He could shine a light so brig-
"RAIN! RAIN! RAIN!"
Larcades emerald eyes shot wide open, an arm coming to sling around his neck and efficiently letting his last breath out. "Sting?"
The other blonde had smelt like booze, his singing off key, his smile too wide and too broad.
Stings pearly whites shown throughout the room, his grinlopsided and adorable.
Larcade blushed, his eyes never leaving Sting. He wasn't sure why he has thought of Stings smile like that. Neither did he wish to wonder about the pounding in his chest or heat on his cheeks.
Instead, Larcade grumbled a few words, staring back towards the window.
"What are you so jolly about, light switch?"
Sting only gave a half-bait glare to Larcade, his smile dropping but arms strengthening their hold on the Dragneel.
"What was that?! I'm the master here and, if you haven't noticed, you're a damn light switch too!"
Larcade gagged, folding his hands over the dragon slayers arms.
"YOU'RE GOING TO KILL ME!"
"Good!"
The squabbling of the two 'light' mages continued on, Larcade grabbing hold of Stings hair. At one point, Larcade had a foot in his mouth and Sting scratch marks on his neck. Eventually, the feud ended, both on the floor as Larcade collapsed on top of Sting.
Hearing the other mage chuckle, Larcade groaned.
"Don't you have a shadow to bother or something?"
"Rogue left." Sting purred, breath tickling the other mans throat. "He is on a job request with Yukino and Minerva."
"In this weather?"
Sting nodded, attempting to loosen his muscles by stretching his limbs. A heavy weight stopped Sting from moving though, Larcades body slowly suffocating him. He grunted.
"Get off."
Larcade only groaned of exhaustion, "No."
"Asshole." Slowly, Sting sat upright on his elbows, letting Larcade slide off to the side. He perked an eye brow when taking notice of the view outside.
"Hmm? The rains only sprinkling now."
Another groan. "No."
Sting snickered, grabbing hold of Larcades hand and pulling themselves up. "Come on! Let's go outside!"
Larcade stood still, eyes boring into Stings, lips set in a thin line. He scrutinized the dragon slayer, staring long and hard, analyzing every curve of his face.
"Are you drunk?"
"Yes!" came Stings happy reply, smile plastered once more.
Larcade sighed, allowing Sting to interlock their fingers and make their way outside.
Just as Sting said, the rain was no longer heavy, just barely skimming through the sky in a light drizzle. Stings hand left Larcades, the warmth leaving as well.
Larcade took quick notice of Stings boisterous laughter. He watched as Sting ran through the mud, cheering like a child. The slight tint of red that littered Stings skin, eyes shut in pure joy and arms flown up in the air. It was cute.
Larcade shook his head, disturbed by the thoughts that ran through his mind. Looking down, he could feel the thumping of his heart, the burning warmth that rose within him. What was this?
Before he knew the answer, a splash of water hit his chest, a new pair of boots in his line of vision.
"Oi!" Sting held onto Larcades shoulders, face to face, as his grin only grew.
"Let's play in the puddles!"
