Pain, that's all I could feel as the blade plunged through me. I can hear Marina screaming my name but it's dampened. Everything is in slow motion as Five realizes what he's done. The shock and panic are etched clearly in his features. After all he was aiming for Nine, but a split second decision had me teleporting to intercept the blade. Oh Nine, if only the cocky bastard had kept his mouth shut this time, the maybe I wouldn't be facing death now. But I know the group will survive without me, it was prophesized that I would die this way. Ha, I can't believe I actually thought I had beaten the odds. And to think that Five was a traitor all this time, I knew something was off about that kid but he just seemed so clueless like he could never be capable of hurting anything. An intense cold is setting in. It's numbing everything; the darkness is closing in on me as I hear Marina's screams. It's gentle though nudging and pulling me to leave this world behind. To move on and join the others of our race that have gone before us. Marina presses a final kiss to my cheek before they stumble away, and I'm slipping, fading, falling away.
