Alloh! My name is Sazha Havoc *salutes*. I usually write fanfics for Fullmetal Alchemist. I started reading The Hunger Games after reading a Kingdom Hearts fanfics, whose writer craved the series.

Disclaimer: I don't own the Hunger Games, but I do own the oneshot and how I imagined how it would play out.

(Pov: Peeta Mellark)

The sky was dark as the Peacemakers ushered us to the stage, where Caesar Flickerman was waiting, amongst the whole Capitol and the cameras, which represented the rest of Panem.

Even though Katniss was smiling and all joyful next to me, I could just tell she was just putting up an act. I fiddled with the small black box in my black pants pocket, starting to get all nervous and twitchy.

"Hello Peeta Mellark, Katniss Everdeen." Caesar smiled, his powdery blue lips flicked small sparkles at his words. Small shivers ran down my spine as me and Katniss went through all the questions Caesar asked, my mind on other things.

The questions ranged from the time we spent in the Games to what we were planning for the future.

"So, Peeta. I'm all sorts of curious. What do you anticipate, you're going to do with your future? Continue with your family's bakery business, or something different?" He adjusted his sparkly midnight blue jacket and blinked at me.

Now! This is the moment you've been waiting for.

I let out a slow shakey breath, and bent down, on my good knee, facing Katniss.

"Katniss Everdeen," My voice was surprisingly strong and not shakey, like I thought it would be.

"My heart was yours from the moment when I first laid eyes on you. From secretly watching you, in school, to this moment now." I took her hands in one of mine, and the other went to the box in my pocket.

"From the day you were close to death in District 12, to the moment when I confessed my love, I knew you were my other half. The one I've always wanted to spend my eternity with." I pulled out the box and talently, flipped open the lid with my thumb.

The ring was small, perfectly created for her finger. A band of pure silver, the color of overworked coal. The small crimson red ruby's, the perfect color of our blood mixed.

Not too flashy, but defiantly not dull.

Just like Katniss, the girl I loved.

Katniss gasped, her fingers trembling.

"When you volunteered for Prim in the Reaping, I feared for your life. When my name was chosen, I felt as if Fate had taken the treads of our lives and woven them together. Every thought, cell and bone in my body screamed to protect you. Katniss… I love you. I need you. You took my heart when we first kissed in the cave. I promise to protect you from everything."

I heard Caesar whisper a 'This is getting good!'

"Katniss, I Peeta Mellark, am down on one knee, asking you to be my wife. To love and to hold, to be there through sickness and in health. To be there, every second of the day. Will you marry me?" Screams burst through the crowd. Katniss blinked away the fake tears and trembled a yes.

I pulled her up, and bent down, so our foreheads met and pulled the ring out and put it on her hand.

"I really love you, Katniss." My voice brushing her ear.

But she said nothing.

Well… How was that? Good, ok, needs improvement, the worst thing you ever read? Please tell me! Review, and tell me what you thought! Your opinion counts! Thanks for reading, and hope to see you guys soon, when I start writing an OC Hunger Games!

This is Sazha Havoc *salutes* signing off!
