As Sirius Black strode through the halls of Hogwarts he barely dared to take a breath. And although he knew he had to be as cautious as he could get he found himself enjoying the sight of his old school and his real first home.

While he was intrigued by his being back at home he caught himself walking slower. It was just like when he was still a student. Always sneaking around. Only then they had been four. Oh that time.

He could almost hear his friends in his head.

"Pads, what's taking you?" James would ask and then stand next to him to find out what was keeping him.

"Sirius please. I don't want to be caught this late after hours. McGonagall 'd kill us. We'll lose hundreds of points and we'll be lucky if they don't expell us and I don't want to be..."

"Oh Remus!", Peter 'd say. "They wouldn't expell their most brilliant student. Even if he was a werewolf!" And to that he'd give such a charming smile that Remus could forget all his troubles for that moment. "And anyway. Sirius finally has finally found a woman that would stay with him despite all of his little... shortcomings..."

And then an argument would begin in which Sirius would state how not shortcoming he really was. Oh Peter. He was a good friend. And look what fear could do to an insecure person. And James. He never woul have thought it could hurt that much to miss someone.

Before he forgot himself he suddenly sighted a portrait which he granted a good amount of time in his youth.

"Oh my goddyness!", the woman shrieked as she recognized him. "If it isn't Sirius Black. God have you changed!"

"But you haven't changed one bit, fair lady!" He said making a small bow.

"Well, well, well. I haven't seen you in quite a bit!", the fat Lady said with a rather charming smile that even in his youth was a smile just reserved for him.

"I was, let's say a little preoccupied."

"Azkaban... Wasn't it? You know I hear people talking."

"Yes... So how about you let me through?"

"Password?" she said.

"You are as beautiful as the night?", he suggested with the most charming smile he could manage.

"Sirius! On the inside you might still be your charming self, but your outside is not as pleasant as it used to be. I'm not going to let you in just because of your good manners."

"But fair lady. You know I always forget the password. Please?", he smiled with yellow yellow teeth.

The fat lady closed her eyes. "Woah. Don't smile like that. You could scare someone."

Sirius stopped smiling that instant.

"So..." the lady suddenly said. "You killed James, Lily and Peter?", she stated out of nowhere.

She caught him by surprise. "I did not bloody kill them." he screamed. Quickly he drew his breath. It was not easy to stay calm. His usual calm self had gotten lost somewhere on the way while he tried to stay sane in Azkaban.

"Well who else did?" As usual the lady had no common sense for when people were losing their nerves. And without really noticing he took his knife to the picture.

Screaming, the old lady disappeared. "The rumors are true. You are bad blood. No better than the rest of your family!" With that the voice faded. And with that Sirius sank to the bottom. He wanted to cry. He wanted to cry so badly, but no tears were left for him to shed. He could just sit there and when he realized that his anger grew. It grew to the point were he could think of nothing else.

Peter. That bastard. He had destroyed all their lives. He destroyed a whole family. And he would destroy a whole lot more if Sirius wasn't gonna do anything about it. But he would. And not one person in this world would be able to stop him.

"Messrs Moony, Prongs, Padfoot and Wormtail, this is for you!", he said leaving the staircase to the Gryffindor common room.

I think this just had to be dealt with. What do you think?
