AN: Hey this was my English assignment. I was supposed to use 27 vocab words in 27 sentences starting with each letter of the alphabet. When I thought of X I thought of Luna's dad. I wanted this story to be kind-of star-crossed lovers themed and somehow came up with Tom Riddle Jr. Enjoy! ~HRM
As all good anecdotes go, this one is about two people who weren't meant to fall in love.
Butterflies flew around Luna's head as Tom watched and wondered who this anomaly was.
"Can you tell me what your names is?" barely articulated Tom to the beautiful, yet spacy, girl.
"Did you know that butterflies are nargels in disguise?" she asked with complete candor.
Expected to be censured yet again, Luna rose from her sitting position to leave.
"For the record I believe you," Tom said hoping to stop this mysterious and effulgent wonder.
"Good you seemed quite affable," Luna replied.
"Hello there I haven't quite introduced myself yet, I'm Tom," said Tom as he stuck out his hand in, what he hoped was, an amicable way.
Instantly the girl started to cry silent tears, and her body shook in a tremulous manner.
"Just kidding, I'll leave, sorry, I didn't mean to make you cry," stuttered Tom with trepidation.
"Kindness, you were kind to me; that is why I'm crying," the girl, who Tom still didn't know her name, said in a blithe manner as she wiped away her tears.
"Luna, my name is Luna," was all she said, and Tom had a chimera that she could read his mind.
"Maybe people are jealous of your beauty, or intelligence, or the way your diaphanous hair glows in the sunlight… Oh gosh did I just say all that out loud?" Tom muttered as he blushed deep scarlet.
"Not to worry it was probably the nargels messing with your brain, the nargels can make one feel like a dipstick, but what you said was lovely," Luna graciously replied.
"Oh no do I fancy this mysterious, beautiful girl named Luna?" thought Tom as he put up a blank facade.
"Please tell me what I am feeling is not a fallacy," mused Luna to herself.
"Quickly, tell me if you feel like you are falling into an abbess of love," said Tom.
"Really you have to ask?" laughed Luna, and then she absconded down the hill.
"So did you have a nice time in the burg?" asked Xenophilius (Luna's father).
"Today I perambulated around the meadow and met a lovely boy," stated Luna dreamily.
"Unicorns and rainbows! You did what?" said Xenophilius with a mien of horror.
"Very good you have introduced me," sighed Tom in apprehension as he entered the room.
"Well it is very nice to meet you Mr. Xenophilius, I am Tom, and if I may be blunt your daughter is lovely," was all Tom felt he needed to say about his limerence.
"Xenophilius is the name my dear boy, and you look like you don't need a nose," was all he said in a scarily lucid voice.
"You will understand someday Luna dear," was all Xenophilius said as he moved his wand athwart.
Zap was all Tom heard as pain burgeoned in his nose.
AN: So there it is I hoped you liked it! (pst: That was how Voldemort lost his nose. Just thought you should know) If you guys like it, I could make this into a lagit story. It's whatever you think.
P.S. I don't ship this. I am a hardcore Nuna shipper but hey it works. ~HRM
