Puck wanted to do something special for Quinn. Since it was getting harder for Quinn to move around, Puck decided on having a scary movie marathon with her. She had mentioned in passing once about all the horror movies she had never seen. Puck was appalled. How could a girl go her life without seeing Halloween? Quinn explained that her parents were strict and forbid it.

It was then that Puck decided on what he had to do. He would hit up the local Blockbuster and get every classic horror movie scaring Quinn half to death, Puck also wanted to order all her favorite food. Quinn had been bummed out lately. The bigger she got the more people treated her wanted to cheer her up - even if that meant scaring her.

Puck made sure his mother and sister were out for the night. He wanted this night to be special. Quinn deserved a night to be young and carefree. He heard the door open. A familiar feeling crept up in the pit of his stomach. Lately, his feelings for Quinn seemed to grow stronger. Sure, he always liked her, but it was something more now."Puck, why are all the lights off?"

He heard Quinn walk into his bedroom and shut the door. She had a habit of stealing his t-shirts and sweatpants. Puck couldn't deny how cute she looked;her belly poking out of the shirts.

A few minutes later she was in the family room, ready to read a book and relax. "I hope this food is for me..."

Puck laughed. "Of course, my baby mama gets it all." Quinn grabbed a slice of pizza and bit down; making a moaning noise as she chewed. "Chill on the foodgasm Q."

"Shut up." Quinn said through mouthfuls. "Did you rob Blockbuster or something?"

"I rented a bunch of horror movies for us to watch," Puck told Quinn. "you said you haven't seen a lot of them."

It was the first time Puck had seen Quinn smile in quite some time. Lately she had taken to fading into the background; trying to avoid public scrutiny. Quinn deserved to be front and center, and too Puck she was all that mattered in the world.

"Which one should we watch first?" Quinn asked with eager eyes. "Ooooh, let's watch Halloween. I heard this one was good."

A half hour into the movie and Quinn was nearly sitting on top of Puck. She kept hiding her face in his chest; making cute noises every time she got scared. "This music is scary - oh my gosh, he's coming!" Quinn covered her eyes with both her hands.

Puck put an arm protectively around her shoulders, showing Quinn that he was alway going to be her protector. "Are you going to have a heart attack on me?"

"I think so." Quinn told him honestly. "See if this was me - I would get the fuck out of dodge. Who the hell hangs around after they saw their friends being murdered. Fuck that."

Quinn rarely cursed. She wouldn't even say damn without apologizing. Hearing her drop a few f-bombs made Puck smile. His girl was beginning to toughen up.

"I promise you that if we are ever chased down by a murdering creep in a mask - I got your back!" Puck told her with a smile and wink.

Quinn looked slightly less nervous. "I am holding you to that Puckerman."

It was about 2 in the morning before they finished watching all the movies Puck had rented. When The Exorcist had finished was when Quinn decided to call it quits. "I think I have been scared enough for this lifetime."

He pulled Quinn into a hug;loving the feeling of their baby in between them. "Sleep well - and if you have any nightmares - you know where to find me."

Puck didn't mind sleeping on the couch. All he wanted was for Quinn and their baby to be comfortable. It was around 4 in the morning when he felt someone curl up closely to him. Puck gave Quinn a smile. "Don't say one word."

"I won't Quinn, I promise." He told her. "Like I said - I always got your back."

Quinn slept peacefully after that.
