Gliding into the room, Reborn had double the grace Tsuna had in the morning. Reborn was the first up as always and was padding around the kitchen, making coffee for the two, and fixing some food as well.
Tsuna wandered in, bleary eyed and yawning. Reborn felt Tsuna slump against his back, resting his forehead against Reborn's shoulder.
"You might want to be careful bumping into me, love." Reborn warned. "I'm standing by a hot stove and you might miss."
"I'm not that clumsy anymore. You of all people should know that, Reborn." Tsuna mumbled irritably.
"Sure. Like you didn't almost fall into the knife drawer by getting up too fast from the table."
"The floor was slippery and I had new socks on."
"And you were almost impaled by the coat rack when you tripped over your own feet yesterday."
"I don't have to take this kind of abuse from you, Reborn." Tsuna grumbled, putting his hands underneath the hem of Reborn's shirt.
"Tsuna, your hands are freezing. Remove them from my abdomen immediately." Reborn hissed, trying to shake Tsuna off and keep everything on the stove from burning.
"I don't want to. You're warm and smell nice, Babe."
"Out if context that would be really creepy." Reborn danced away from Tsuna to their shared bedroom down the hall. Tsuna stared at the stove, not sure what to do as he was a terrible cook. The eggs sizzling and popping, psyching Tsuna out as as he tried to move the bacon around.
Reborn, on the other hand, couldn't believe what he was seeing. The stab of anger and betrayal was too much. He had trusted Tsuna and this is what he does? How could he? Reborn hoped they could bounce back from this like last time but this time was worse.
Tsuna had spilled something on Reborns fedora that he loved more then anything else. It had been with Reborn since he was a child, the yellow sash looking dim and faded from wear had an ugly brown splotch cut it through the middle on the right side and the soft fabric was damp and sticky. He loved this hat more then he would like to admit.
Marching into the kitchen, he saw Tsuna munching on a pickle, trying to swipe his bushy brown hair out of his face so he could see what he was reading while eating something out of a jar. Reborn stopped in front of Tsuna and plopped the hat onto the table.
"How could you?" Reborn asked, his face set in stone cold fury, his black eyes staring into Tsuna brown ones with such intensity Tsuna shrank into himself
When Tsuna had seen the hat, his face fell, his lip jutted out, his eyes seemed both wide and terrified and narrowed and suspicious. "I-I, Reborn, I-I didn't mean; let's just talk about this. Have a pickle, my mom made them." Tsuna gestures to the jar he had been eating out of, offering the fork to Reborn.
"The pickles won't help this relationship, Tsuna. The pickles can wait."
Well, I was dared to do a writing prompt and I did. Its a writing prompt from Reddit and it's very satisfying making this.
And I'm about to whore myself out here but I have writing commissions up on my devianART page, shikimari . deviantart . com, and it'd be great if you could commission me because I'd like to perfect my writing.
As always tell me what you thought, what you liked, what you didn't, what you were surprised by, etc. And I will see you next time I update!
