I'll Hold Your Hand
A/N: Hey guys! I got a request for a Jack and Rose fan fiction over the last week. The request was: "A fluffy-ish story about Jack and Rose on Titanic. Feel free to add many, many scenes! ALSO add some from the movie as well! Thanks! ^_^." Anyways, I have no idea if this is what you wanted, but please enjoy, read and review! I'll update as often as I can!
Disclaimer: All rights go out to their rightful owner. I don't own Titanic, or any of the characters!
Chapter 1: Laying my eyes on You
Jack's POV
My life is not exactly what you'd call 'ordinary.' I live on the road, working my way from place to place, or rather I did until I won my ticket onto the grandest ship in the world, the Titanic. It was called the ship of dreams; it was the largest, most luxurious ship to have ever set sail from South Hampton. And I, was sailing across the Atlantic on this ship. I suppose you could just call me a tumbleweed blowing in the wind.
I also suppose you could call me an artist, and as most artists do I don't really have the means to settle in one place for too long. Although, like all people eventually do, I'm finally working my way back to my roots. I grew up in Chippewa Falls, Wisconsin, and I'm finally going home. My buddy, Fabrizio DeRossi, that is.
"That's typical," The voice brought me out of thoughts and back down to the boat deck I was sitting on. "First class dogs coming down her to take a shite."
I looked up from my drawing and smiled. "It lets us know where we rank in the scheme of things." The young Irish man, who couldn't have been much older than myself, just grinned.
"Like we could forget? I'm Tommy Ryan." He stepped up to shake my hand and I introduced myself.
"Jack Dawson." I said stating my name.
"Do you make any money with your drawings?" He asked, but his question was forgotten when I saw her.
She was standing leaning on the rail in a light green, red, and white dress. Her flame colored hair was pulled up, but small strands flicked back in the gentle breeze. Her brilliant emerald eyes contrasted greatly against her skin. I couldn't help but notice the intensity, and pain, that hid beneath her lashes when her eyes connected with mine. I couldn't stop staring at her, even when a hand passed briefly in front of my eyes.
"Ah, forget it boyo. You'd as like have angels fly out of your arse as get next to the likes of her." Tommy said looking back and forth between me and the young woman. I knew deep down that he was right, but I couldn't stop looking at her. I noticed how pained she looked. Pained and angry. I had no idea who this woman was, what her story was, but I did know that I saw anger in her eyes as the overdressed man approached her. She stormed away and he looked frustrated as he leaned on the rail. It was only then that I stopped gaping at the place where she had stood only moments before.
What do you guys think? Feel free to add suggestions or give me some constructive criticism! Anyway, I'll update whenever I can as I'm a very busy person! READ AND REVIEW! And here's chapter 2!
