I slowly walked down the corridor. Way down at the end he stood, the brown haired boy who made getting up in the morning so easy. He started walking towards me. Our eyes met and I threw myself in his arms but he rejected me. "Sorry" he said quietly. "you know i'm not out yet." I looked around and only saw a couple of students who were paying attention to each other talking about the newest gossip going around the school. If they had seen us they would have gotten something new to gossip about I thought and smiled to myself.
Mr. Hellington was early as usual and we sat down in our usual spaces. It was really slow starting the day up with biology. I places my books on my desk and opened my notes. The first few pages were full of different drawings but the later in to the year, the fewer drawings. Drawing was my way of escaping reality, but I had Harry now. When I started at this school everyone already knew I was gay, I didn't even get to show them the real me. But I guess it didn't matter. The first time I saw Harry I knew he was special. Harry was also very lonely and in some way that was why we started hanging out.
One day we had been at my house to study and Harry asked me if it was true. I didn't understand and asked what he meant. "That you're gay." I was shocked by the question and tears made their way out of my eyes. I closed my eyes and felt his arms wrap around me in a warm comforting hug. After that we talked for hours, when Harry was supposed to leave he gave me a light kiss.
Students started flowing in to the classroom and Mr. Hellington started the lesson. I was kind of dozing of during it, but I was still enough to answer some of the questions he threw at me. After class I waited for Harry and we proceeded on towards the cafeteria. I felt the need for a big cup of coffee and we got in line. There were a lot of students here at this time of the day. Both students who, as me, felt the need for a little energy boost before getting through the rest of the day and those awake people who was just waiting for their first lesson to start.
The day went by and at about three I was sat outside of Harry's classroom waiting. After ten minutes of waiting the door shuffled open and students started walking to their lockers. As soon as I saw Harry a big smile started playing on my lips. I got up and followed him to his locker. We made small talk while Harry gathered his homework and when he was done we started walking out from school. Well abit away from school and on a small gravel road Harry took my hand smiling at me. The feeling of his hand in mine made my body warm.
