Albus and Scorpius held hands as they entered the nice restaurant for dinner. It was their second year anniversary.

Scorpius still couldn't believe they had reached this point. He never thought they'd get together. He had been in love with Albus pretty much since he saw the middle Potter get on a broom in third year. He had never saw something so beautiful and need burned for the boy who he barely talked to.

He would have exchanged anything for Albus just to look at him as a friend, if not more.

Contrary to what many people thought – with who his father and grandfather was – he wasn't that sure of himself, especially when it came to matters of the heart. He thought if he told Albus the truth of his feelings, Albus would looked at him with derision and think the idea of the two of them being together utterly ridiculous.

Scorpius feared Albus would find him to be a bore, so he ignored his jerking heart that continuously pulled him towards Albus. He truly believed he didn't stand a chance with the son of the wizarding world's champion.

Thankfully, Albus, being the son of two Gryffindors despite his Ravenclaw status, took matters in his own hands and bravely admitted to liking Scorpius.

And like they say, the rest is history. They got together in sixth year, and now two years later and one year after graduation, they were still together and very happy. They were even talking about having a bonding ceremony.

Before they were seated, they noticed Hermione and Narcissa having a cozy dinner as well. They raised eyebrows at each other and both of them blushed, turning away as Hermione and Narcissa shared an extremely thorough kiss.

Scorpius sometimes still found it odd that his grandmother was dating a woman Albus called "Aunt Hermione." There was a large age difference, but everyone with eyes could see how much the two of them loved each other.

Albus had been a bit uncomfortable at first, but even he couldn't deny the overflowing love that practically poured out of them when they were in the same room.

They waved at the couple as they sat down and chuckled when Hermione blushed brightly, quickly moving away from Narcissa.

Narcissa, for her part, shook her hair fondly at the brunette before she nodded at the boys.

Albus and Scorpius looked at each other before they picked up their menus. No one thought their lives would turn out like this, especially not the generations that were part of the war. Scorpius knew that from his own parents.

But really, everything happened for a reason. Albus had been Scorpius's destiny, and Hermione had been his grandmother's.
