Arrival

He rotated the ring on his finger; he looked up seeing the mansion of Bill Murray. I made it he thought, she would have wanted to be here. The tears pooled in his eyes. "Bro, you alright?" He turned to his best friend that had his back through the whole damn infection thing. "Yeah, I just…you know?" he looked at the steering wheel under his hand, he frowned "Yeah…that's why we kill every motherfucking zombie we see! Right guys?" "Hell yes!" was the answer from the three soldiers in the back. He smiled they were great company. They pulled into the drive way seeing a yellow hummer with a 3 on the side. It was bigger than their military humvee. But when we left base there was only 3 to chose, the vehicles; an MRAP, a humvee, and a transport truck. It carried our food, clothes, weapons, ammo, and our toiletries, 4 guys in the back of that and one driving. In the MRAP was two soldiers, James was driving, and Billy was on the 50 cal. He thought about everyone who was in the group, James was 19 about to turn 20, he was a nice guy, lost his family when the infection started. Billy was 22, and had lost his family in a car accident before the infection. Rafe a guy in his late 20's no family the only family he had was them. Then there was Jenkins and Jones, the twins; both 29, and strangely enough they had family in Louisville, Kentucky. Rafe and the twins were behind him and Redgie his best friend. Redgie was black, the only guy who has the ability to shoot anything with a sniper rifle, he was 25 but had the energy of a 13 year old, and we practically had to drug him to get him to sleep. Then there was Will, Dan, Luke, and DJ. They were all in the transport and didn't really know much about them because they hardly talk especially when they are nervous. He opened the door and stepped out shutting the door behind him. He put his earpiece in and walked towards the mansion hand over his sidearm; an Israeli Desert Eagle with a laser sight, full magazine. "If you're not out in 10 minutes, I am coming in hot." He heard Redgie say on the radio, "Yeah yeah don't get your panties in a bunch." He heard a laugh over the radio, "Ha-ha cute." He crouched and walked to the door. He pulled out his pistol turned the knob and pushed the door open. He paused, standing outside for 3 seconds and moved in. What he saw amazed him 3 non-infected people eating lunch. There was a girl probably a teenager, a older woman, and a scrawny guy, all were facing away from him. He holstered his weapon, "All clear, Redgie, we got survivers." And with that they all turned to him weapons drawn. He raised his arms in surrender. "Who are you? What do you want?" The scrawny one asked. He turned to him and smiled politely, "I am Sgt. Jake Hudson of the United States Army Rangers, and I mean no harm, just a place to set up shop with my squad." He said with a slight southern accent. He heard a thick southern accent come from his right, "Well why the fuck would we do that?" I lowered my arms and turned towards him he had a brown cowboy hat a maroon v-neck shirt under a black leather jacket, denim pants, and boots. "Cause I have medical supplies, food, toiletries, ect." The man stepped closer and turned towards his group "Put the guns down and lets go help him." No one moved except to lower the guns "Fine suit yourself." Jake turned to leave with the cowboy and he heard them rest follow, he smiled as he walked to the transport truck.
