Who is that girl, sitting lonely and still?
Who is she, so beautiful and regal?
She stares at him with a look that could kill,
A halo of choc'late hair in a tangle.

He's kneeling in the grass crying his heart out,
A necklace in his hand, clutched to his breast.
No words, no matter how loud she can shout.
Suddenly tender, she touches his chest.

There is no reaction, none whatsoever.
Furious, she makes to slap but he shifts,
Showing sun on the stone that lasts forever.
Her gaze of sad despair, it never lifts.

Sinking to her knees sobbing, his eyes black,
Tears spilling, and wings protruding from her back.
