Author's Note: I decided to write this because I felt like it needed to be written. I feel like if anything serious were to ever occur between Emma and Killian this discussion or one similar would need to be a part of the show. Once again I do not own OUAT now will I ever do.
Killian Jones was the most nervous he had ever been in his three hundred plus years of life. He had fought Blackbeard, battled giant snowmen, and even duelled against the Dark One himself. Nothing in his life had ever scared him quite as much as this.
Henry sat on the couch across from Killian in silence. "So you wanted to talk?" Henry prompted him. Even though Killian was the one who requested this discussion he was also the one who was at a loss for words.
"You are well aware that I am rather fond of your mother..." Killian trailed off. "Which one?" Henry asked jokingly. Killian smirked at the kid, he was becoming more and more like his father everyday.
Killian couldn't find the proper way to voice his thoughts. Henry sat silently across from him giving him time to gather his thoughts.
Killian suddenly spoke up once again "fond is an understatement, I am in love with Emma." Henry simply said "duh" as if this part of the conversation was in no way news to him.
Killian looked the lad in the eyes "she makes me happier than any other person I have met." Henry smiled at him "you make her happy too." Killian twisted his hook nervously choosing his words.
"I wish to ask for your blessing" Killian said his eyes focused firmly on his hook. He continued "I want to ask for her hand in marriage and was hoping you would approve." Killian could feel the beads of sweat slowly collecting at his brow while he awaited Henry's response.
"Took you long enough" Henry said jovially. "What?" Killian almost shouted. "You have been dating my mom for almost two years and you obviously love her. Emma and I aren't getting any younger" Henry said with a smile across his face.
"So you" Killian asked quickly. Before he could finish the sentence Henry replied "you have my blessing." A huge grin cracked across Hook's face.
All that nervous worrying for nothing. "Don't look too happy" Henry said "you still have to ask my mother." Killian looked momentarily panicked until Henry assured him "I have a feeling she will say yes."
Hook loved Emma however he had also grown to love her boy Henry. He knew they were a package deal but he wouldn't have it any other way. Henry's approval meant the world to him. By asking Henry he wasn't only asking for permission to marry Emma but to become a dad to Henry.
It seems that villains really can get their happy endings.
