The Hive

Here is the bzzzz hive,

But where are the bugs?

Regardless, to the hive,

The blodex they chug.

The hive it seems empty,

The bzzzz, have they gone?

Left this world in peace?

Can life carry along?

Slowly but surely,

The blodex start jubilation.

Their foes have departed,

They don't face termination.

But then there's a scream,

And then there's a cry.

The bzzzz they've returned,

Shoot down from the sky.

The blodex, they scatter,

But there is no respite.

The bzzzz soar unchallenged,

They have won this fight.

So the hive it still stands,

The bzzzz still torment this world.

Their stingers are ready,

Their wings are unfurled.

So off they all fly,

To end blodex spaceflight.

Off on their wings,

Off into the night.

A/N

A by-product of working in a library on Fridays is that every single one of those days I have to hear the same songs being sung by children in their section of the library - monkeys on the bed, crocodiles in rivers, and songs about hives and bees, among other things. So, er, consider this a form of 'mental therapy' - I won't spoil the children's fun, but damn it I'll have some fun on my own!

And yes, this was based on Sonic the Hedgehog #126 for those who want a specific comic issue as reference.
